6.14.07 - Walt Disney World
I have discovered that at Disney there’s not much difference between herding people and herding cattle. I don’t think I’ve ever felt more like a sheep. There were times when I didn’t even know where the pack was going, but we were following along.
The herd is also a good way to tell which rides are the best. Wherever you see people congregating, it probably means that there’s something interesting going on. And wherever there’s a long line, it probably worth standing in.
We are celebrating our 2nd anniversary here at Disney, and we’re having a great time. The park is much smaller than I remember (probably because I used to be much smaller), yet I can still barely get my mind around all of it. Last time I was here, it was my parents who were in charge of leading us kids around. Now, somehow we’re having to manage our way through the endless sights and attractions, and for anyone who has ever been to Disney, you know there’s more to do than can ever be done! And Emily wants to do it all!
We had a giant pretzel and turkey leg for lunch, it was very tasty, and along with scoping out the parks we got to go on a lot of rides. My favorite was the Mickey’s Philhar-Magic, it was a short 3D show that included these funny polarizing glasses and interactive seats. When I asked Emily what her favorite thing was at Disney, she said, “Everything was my favorite!”
Our families are coming down with us today (Thursday) and Emily has the whole trip planned out for what we’re going to do, 2 more days at Disney, 1 day at shows, and vacation time all the way around. I will say this, it sure seems like the time has been flying by; I guess that’s what they say about having fun!
