9.05.09 - Rock Sound - "Come and See"

After a year of introducing the Training Center and talking about theological education to the church leaders down in Rock Sound, we finally had our big night of application and student enrollment.

We were privileged to have Patrick Rutherford, a great friend and graduate of the Training from 04, come over from Nassau to teach a "teaser" introduction to the Inductive Bible Study Method. The purpose of this "Come and See" seminar is to develop a hunger in the students and give them a glimpse of what the full 2 year program is like.

Patrick is a skilled teacher and he did a fantastic job of showing the students how to "observe" the text and slow down in your study to look closely at what is being said and what is happening. In the limited time that he had, he just scratched the surface for what the Inductive Bible Study Method includes.

After he finished I stood up I asked those in the audience, "Can you see how powerful the Inductive Method can be?" They unanimously answered, "Yes!"

There has been much prayer and preparation involved in getting ready for this seminar, and I would say that we had a pretty good turn out. I got a handful of applications back for classes beginning on the 14th, and a few of those who came even took applications back with them to hand out to their friends. Please be in prayer for this new class of students, for work God will do in their ministry and lives.
