5.8.09 - EBTC Graduation 2009

What a day of celebration! After 2 years of training, CMA got to celebrate at its Training Center on Eleuthera the fourth graduation service for the pastors and church leaders in the Bahamas.

Our students have been looking forward to this day for a long time, and there has been much preparation getting ready for the service.

We were blessed to have Pastor and Teacher Allen Lee from the Calvary Bible Church in Nassau give our commencement address to the students. He challenged them from 2 Timothy 4 to, "be ready to preach the Word." His message began by heavily outlining the inspiration and nature of Scripture, and then he exhorted them not to follow what so many pastors today have done, which is watering down the message with our own agendas and ideas - rather we need to "simply preach the Word."

Graduation brought down Dave Hawkins our Director of Training, and Paul Voss CMA's Director was already in Eleuthera to finish up the final class of Missions, Evangelism, and Discipleship (along with Pastor Matt Price from Covenant Fellowship in Stuart, FL).

CMA is blessed to have tonight become the 4th graduation of students since we began training back in 2002.

While we had many students receive their certificates tonight, we have a few who have some make up work to complete before they will be awarded their certificate, so we will still get to enjoy the classroom time with them a while longer.

Graduation is a joyous time, a fulfillment of commitment, and a recognition of achievements, and a celebration of what God is doing in the lives of our students. We thank God for each and every one of them, and we look forward to how the Lord will bless their efforts and obedience to "do their best to present themselves approved to God," 2 Tim. 2:15.
