March Newsletter '09
Greetings,
March was a busy month. We had two teams, and right in the middle of them I got to teach CMA's Church History course. Even though it was busy, we had a fantastic month, and we have much to look forward to.

March Mission Teams
This month we had two more great teams to add to 2009. First the OPE brothers from Cedarville University (my men's service organization) came down and partnered with one of the local high schools doing construction, assemblies, and track coaching.
Then at the end of the month we had a high school team come over from Indian Rocks, FL doing construction and again partnering with one of the primary schools on the island. Teams can be an enormous blessing to us, and we look forward to the rest of the teams coming down and serve this summer.

Church History
If there's one subject I love to study after The Mission of God, it is Church History - and this month I had the privilege of teaching our course number 9 on Church History. We covered over two thousands years in two weeks and even focused in on the history of religion in the Caribbean.
My goal was to teach the class from the perspective of the "issues" within Church History rather than just the characters and chronology. The question I challenged the class to ask themselves was "What is it I BELIEVE, about what I believe?"
You can see a video of the class and pictures HERE

Update
Emily is enjoying her ministry with the girls in our settlement, and taking care of Micah is more than a full time job. He is growing SO big, and now he is at the age where his curiosity can be satisfied with those speedy feet. We can barely close doors fast enough to keep him out of trouble.
We are very excited about our family coming down this April. They will be the first ones to visit us here on the mission field, and we can't wait. Not only are we excited about seeing them, but Emily is also especially excited about what they're bringing - her puppy! You're bound to hear about their visit in next month's prayerletter.
