November Newsletter '09
Greetings,
We'll be honest, we're happy November is over, it has been a busy busy month! From the kick-off to the holiday season and parties and events, to the month being bookended with classes along with a graduation celebration, November has kept us going, going, going!

Thanksgiving
We have lots to be thankful for. In the past Thanksgiving has a predominately American holiday, and while occasionally we'll meet with Bahamians for a meal, this Thanksgiving it was a clash of the cultures. When Americans say, "Dinner starts at 6pm," we generally mean 6pm. On our island however, 6pm can really mean 8pm! Also, how often do you as an American eat Snapper for Thanksgiving!!!
Even with the exotic dishes and the late meal, we had a fantastic time with our Bahamian friends for the holiday. We are so thankful for the spirit of fellowship and friendship that God has given us on this island and in our ministry.

Celebration Graduation #5
This month brought our ministry another reason to praise - our 5th Graduation, and the 1st one ever on Freeport. Many of us flew over to Freeport to join Brad and Alicia in the graduation of the 4 faithful students who completed 2 years of training. One unique thing about this service was that is took place during an actual church service. You see all of the graduates were from the same church, so rather than hold a separate ceremony, we celebrated with everyone in the congregation.
It was a very special service and a reminder of how grateful we are to have a role in this ministry.

Update
Honestly, we have so much to give thanks for. Right now in our ministry we have more students enrolled in classes than ever before. We have a energized team season planned with many individuals from the US planning on serving and investing in the people here. We are extremely excited about our upcoming break for Christmas as we'll get to travel home to our families and churches to share the Christmas season and celebration of our Savior's birth!
We've got more pictures and articles you can read on our website. Most of all we want you to know that we're thankful for you and your support. May you find fulfillment and joy knowing that your support and prayers are keeping us effective and growing in ministry to the church leaders in the Caribbean!
