August Newsletter '10
Greetings,
This month officially marks the end of summer for us, however the heat is still here! In August we said "goodbye" to our final team for the summer season, and we said "hello" to our next new class of students in James Cistern.

Another Successful Team Season
With week after week of successive teams, it can feel like a never ending missions trip! However, we are privileged to have some of the most amazing people sacrifice a week of their summer to come serve with us.
Co-missionaries, Mike and Shannan Fastzkie worked the whole summer long to organize and lead all of our teams this summer, however this August, Emily and I got to step in a lead the final one while the Fastzkies took care of some plans in the US.
Our week with our last team was amazing. There are from Maranatha church near West Palm, and this was their second trip to Eleuthera. We quickly became good friends with them as they showed us abounding love and encouragement. We are grateful for all the new friendships we've made this summer with through our mission teams!

Micah is Two and a Half
Or at least, he is almost two and a half come this September. We are so blessed to love and cherish our little boy, and he is just growing SO SO fast! Just today (September 1st) we took him to his first day of pre-school (kids start pre-school early in the Bahamas). It almost made Emily cry.
He is learning so many new things, and is becoming quite the productive member of the family. He picks up all his toys, and completely serves as the guardian for our dog Tag - shoeing him out the door, and filling his dish.
We are incredibly blessed, and love him more each day! Enjoy some of our favorite pictures of him being a boy from the past few months below!

Update
If you had read last month's prayerletter, you'd remember that I only had 1 prayer request - for our upcoming new class of students in James Cistern. Well I'm pleased to announce that class began on Monday and it keeps growing. We started with 10 students, yesterday we got 15, and today we have 18! While our student body can ebb and flow for the first few classes, we are rejoicing that the Lord has provided for us another vibrant and excited group of Bahamian church leaders. I'm simply elated to be back in the classroom! Our ministry here is such a joy, we are so grateful for you being a part of it! Thank you for your prayers! Praise the Lord!
