Febraury 28, 2009
So I have done an awful job of writing journals this month! I'm going to try to recap the last few weeks..........

I went home to Ohio the 17th-24th. I took Micah and we had a great trip! We had to take four different planes to get there, which I was nervous about, but the Lord watched over us and Micah did great!

When I was there we took Micah, Noah, Maggie, and Anika swimming at the YMCA. We had so much fun! Micah was a little fish! He loved it! He never cried, and we even went into the deep end and under the waterfalls! He loved playing with his cousins too!

I got to go out to lunch and to visit my grandma with my cousins Alexis and Jennifer, and Alexis's little boy Xavier who is just a little younger than Micah. They had fun playing together too!
And I got to go on Sunday to a benefit for my cousin Derrick and got to see lots of family there too, and Micah had fun bowling!

I also got to have a birthday party when I was there too! And I went to dinner and a movie with some friends!

The trip was such a blessing! And the Lord actually put it on someone's heart to pay for my trip home, so that's the reason I was able to go! God always provides for us! I'm so thankful! Ryan went to St. Maarten while I was in Ohio. He had a great trip!

Since I have been home, Micah and I have been sick. We just have colds though, and they're not too bad. I had a great birthday! Ryan made it extra special by staying up late the night before to make me an ice cream cake! He also got me some earings, a hat, and a dress! And on my birthday he took Micah while I got to go to Alicia's to scrapbook with her and our friend Charmaigne! It was a great day!

This week I have been going to bed at 7:30 or 8:30 every night! I have been extra sleepy from being sick, and I have to say that it's been so nice to sleep extra! Last night we laid out and watched the stars. They were beautiful! We don't watch the stars enough.

Valentine's Day, 2009
We had a wonderful Valentine's Day! We watched Brad and Alicia's kids thisafternoon while they went out, and then they watched Micah while we went out. We went to a place called the Queen's Baths, then Ryan took me to a beach that I had always wanted to go to, and to the Glass Window Bridge. He proposed on a bridge in Indianapolis 4 years ago today. After that we went to a beach called Lovers Beach. We actually didn't know it was called that until we got back, so that was funny. It was a super pretty beach though and the sunset was beautiful! We had a great time exploring today and we had a picnic, which consisted of Cheetos, Bananas, ham, and sliced American cheese. It was perfect!

Today I attempted to take Micah on a date to the beach, but he screamed the whole time. He did NOT like the water this time and he got sun screen in his little eye and he was rubbing it and it swelled up turned red and his face around it broke out. It was sad. He's doing better though. And I went to the primary school today and did a craft with the kids for Valentines Day.

Ryan went to Bluff tonight to meet with some graduates of the Training Center for follow-up, and while he was gone I had come time by myself so I got some cleaning done. It's hard to clean when Micah's up! He's such a good little boy though, he goes to bed at 6 and gets up at 6!

Tonight we had some people over for a Valentine's Dinner! I decorated our house and made two cakes! I'm very proud of my cakes as it was my first attempt and I think they turned out pretty good! I think Ryan is going to put a picture on. Our dinner was very fun! I just love Valentine's Day!
Oh, and I bought a half a gallon of milk today for $6.30!

And, there was no horizan today! It's very eerie when that happens!

Today was a good and bad day. It started and finished good! There are two men who are here to scout out the island for a missions trip and we took them around to see some things and we went for lunch at Captain Jacks. Then they left, and then came the bad part of the day... We can't find our birth certificates or our social security cards. We looked everywhere! So that's not too good.
But then tonight we had our friends Doug and Felicia and Brad over for dinner. We had a fun time hanging out with them!

Micah said his first word today! He's been saying "mama" and "dada" for a few weeks now, but finally today he said "mama" to me when he wanted something! So we're counting it! He said it when he woke up and was laying in bed with us and he was hungry. I think he thinks it means "more", but that's okay. =)

Today I went for two walks with Micah, one to the post office and one to the school to read to the kids. So I ended up walking about 4 and a half miles. It was a beautiful day! A little chilly which was great too! Micah was in little sweat pants - very cute!

There are classes going on at the training center this week too, so Ryan's been there each night.
I started having some girls over to our house a few times a week to excersize. It's been really fun! There have been about 6 ladies that have come. Tonight two ladies came over and we did some excersize videos.

A while ago we met a couple from the States that are here running a restraunt. They are a great couple and I've really had fun getting to know the girl. She came tonight, and another friend from the Methodist Camp.

Tonight's Bible study went great! We actually did a work project at the Methodist Camp here. We washed tables, chairs, and doors, swept and mopped floors, and moved and organized mattresses for them. The girls did a great job and we had lots of fun!

There is a team here right now of men from Texas. They are working hard to finish the house behind ours. I have been setting up lunch for them in our house, which has been fun for me. Since they're only doing the building and stuff there's not a lot that I can contribute with Micah so it's fun for me to be able to make lunch.

First Day of February, 2009
And a great first day it was! Ryan gave me the day off today. He took Micah to church in Spanish Wells and I got to stay home and relax. I took a long shower and slept in, and sewed pillows an curtains! It was wonderful! I do have to admit though that I missed my boys about 5 minutes after they left and was super glad when they got back home!

Micah is teething again and is more grumpy tonight. Poor little guy!

I am glad January is over! It was a great day though! I took Micah on an adventure. We went to a place called the Queen's Baths. It's basically a really pretty place where there are holes that the ocean fills when the tide is in, and they heat up from the sun, so it's like bathwater and you can sit in them. SO really it's like swimming pools =) Today though it was super windy and the waves were high so we didn't get to go in them we just got to look at them. It was fun to explore the area! And then we went driving to some parts of the island I had never been to. Then after that we had fun time cooking! Since I was making pizza dough, i got out a sheet and put piles of flour out and measuring cups and a sifter and let Micah play in it! It was super cute and fun!! He was covered in flour by the end, and I had a lot on me too! =) And tonight we had our friends from the Methodist Camp here on Eleuthera over for dinner. I made pizzas, and we hung out and played games. It really was a fun day!
