This morning I asked Micah if he would like to watch “NiHow Ki-Lan” (which he loves!!) and he said “no….books” He would rather play with his books! If Ryan were home he would have been very proud!

I painted a sign for Micah’s room! I like it! It has a boat on it, and a Bible verse.

Also, I realized today that even though for some reason we haven’t been able to hav another baby yet, Micah is learning lots of big brother stuff because we have a dog. For example, Micah is a big taddler! Every time Tag does something that Micah doesn’t like, Micah tells on Tag! And, Micah has had to learn to share with Tag, and be gentle with him! So someday when we do have another kid, Micah will be well prepared!

Micah has somehow learned to say “mine” and “my ____”. It is not good. Yesterday I tried to take his waffle plate away and he grabbed it and yelled “my waffle!” And the other day I tried to get my keys back from him and he yelled “mine!” Oh, no..it’s not good at all!

Right now our truck and car are broke. Here in Eleuthera it takes a lot longer to get cars fixed because we have to get most of the parts in the States. Today our truck part finally arrived, and I picked it up from Agape this morning. Then Ryan fixed the truck today while I scrubbed mold off of Micah’s old high chair. Fun fun. Ryan ate dinner with the team tonight and now he’s taking pictures for a friend. One thing that I have loved here is being about to use photography as a ministry. We never imagined we would be able to do so much here for people just by taking pictures!

We found another centipede in our house yesterday. I DO NOT like them!

It just hit me that June is half way over! May and June this year have gone so fast!! And April too!
I am exhausted right now! Today was a long, tiring day! But it was fun at least! I don’t think I have ever sweat so much in my life! We took pictures for Horatio and Rushel’s wedding today. It was supposed to start at 1:00, but it ended up not starting until about 2:30. We took pictures at the pretty yellow house in Rainbow first, then headed to the Methodist church for the ceremony, then they had the reception at the Training Center. And, the Roswell team got here today so after the reception we ate dinner with the team. Micah had a long day too. He missed his nap and didn’t eat a lot. But he played hard all day! By the end of the day he smelled so bad! When I went to fill the tub with water it came out brown with lots of dirt…just what you want in your water! I ran the water for a while and it got a little better, so I got to give him a bath..a dirty bath…but a bath at least. Then he finally got to bed late. He was such a trooper today!

Ryan and I have so much fun taking pictures at weddings together! It’s a fun ministry that we get to do for the people here! It was extra special for us to be a part of Horatio’s wedding today too!

First, let me start out by saying that Ryan is the best husband and daddy ever! He took care of Micah almost the whole day today! He’s just so great! This morning I went with the girls to the special needs school in Governors. We are having a VBS for them this summer. After that Shannon and I went to lunch at the Bottom Harbor Beach Club, and to pick up the mail up north, and to the grocery store. Then I dropped off the camp’s mail, and drove home, only to discover that I actually dropped our mail off at the camp instead of theirs, so I had to go back up there and trade it, and I had forgotten something at the Training Center, so I had to do that too, then I got to go home again. Then tonight the staff (with the new intern, Sara) came over for pizza. My pizza’s turned out good! And we had a fun time of fellowship.

But, then, Micah locked himself in the bathroom!!! He cried and cried, and tried saying all the words he new how to say to get us to open the door. It broke my heart! Finally Ryan got him out by unscrewing the door handle and taking it off. It was scary! And so sad! So now my mission is to teach him how to unlock doors so that doesn’t happen again! Poor little guy!

Last night Ryan was in the office, and he heard a “thud” like something fell, and when he turned on the lights he saw that it was a giant 40-leggar that had fallen through a hole in our ceiling onto his desk! He couldn’t sleep the rest of the night. I’m pretty sure we need to get our house exterminated! That’s two in one week!!!! Pray that the Lord keeps them out of our house and especially away from Micah!!!

Today was another eventful day. This morning Micah and I went to Gregory Town to watch the camp staff do a triathelon. They all did great! It was fun to watch. I don’t think I would ever want to do one though. All the people looked like they were about to die when they finished!

The Fastzkie family got here today too for good. It’s fun to have them here! And an intern, Ryan, got here too! We didn’t get much time to spend with them all yet, but we’re looking forward to the summer.

For a twist in the day, Ryan got a call from the groom of the wedding for today this afternoon. The guy who was supposed to officiate their wedding is actually not on the island right now, and their backups fell through too, so they asked Ryan to marry them. So, he ended up officiating their wedding while I took pictures and we let another guy video tape it with our camera.

It was a most beautiful, and fun wedding! It was a blessing for Ryan and I to get to be a part of it. We didn’t even know the people, but we instantly felt part of the wedding family. It was a perfect day for a beautiful wedding on the beach! And the sunset was beautiful too! They had a steal drum player for their music, and it was simple and wonderful! Ryan did a great job too! It was his first time marrying a couple! The reception was at Tippy’s and it was just so fun. It was like a date night for Ryan and I. And it’s so fun for us to serve together.

Today was eventful! While Micah was playing outside I walked over by him just in time to see him reaching for a 40-leggar (giant centipede)! He was about two inches from it! It was mad too, and I grabbed Micah as fast as I could, and carried him to his crib, and got out the machetti and went back outside and found the 40-leggar and chopped him to pieces! That’s what you get if you mess with my baby! It was a big one too, about 8-9 inches long. My heart didn’t slow down for about an hour. Praise the Lord it didn’t bite Micah! I don’t want to let him play outside anymore!

Paul is in ELeuthera for a few days, so this afternoon we got to talk to him for a while, and then tonight we went to Tippy’s to take pictures for a rehearsal dinner of some people that were interns for the camp a while ago. We had a great time taking pictures for them! And there were dolphins! Our neighbor Vanessa babysat for us, and for the first time Micah didn’t cry when we left! All he did it turn and said “bye-bye!” I have to admit that it was a little sad! Again, he’s growing up too fast! Not even a tear…sad. But I guess that’s good.
