It's been a long week. It's also been a rainy week! Thursday one of my kid's mom brought in their dog, and it made my day! I miss having a dog! Yesterday we had our friends over for dinner and served Bahamian mac and cheese and BBQ chicken and fun drinks and pineapple. It was fun to share a little bit of the Bahamas with our friends!
Today we worked for two carnivals for Chick-fil-a, and poor Ryan got beat up as the cow. He has lots of marks on him from kids beating him over the head with blow up bats and running and jumping on him, and they pulled his tail right off! Rough day for the cow! I do love to watch the little girls hug him though! They love the cow!
To the parents of my Kindergarten kids....I taught the kids what April Fools Day is, so be warned!

Another birthday day! Today is my Aunt Barb's birthday! Happy Birthday Aunt Barbara!
It used to be that on the playground my kids would collect rocks and try to take them home, they got in trouble for collectingso many rocks and throwing them, ect. So now to replace the rocks, several of my kids have been searcing for rolly-pollies. THese are the bugs that roll up in a ball when you catch them. Well today two of my girls got captured handfuls of them and brought them in from the playground and put them in their backpacks! I made them take them find them all from their bags and take them back outside, but it made me laugh (I didn't tell them I thought it was funny.) For a kindergartener learning about the world still rolly-pollies are a treasure, and when you find them, you should keep them! I wish that adults still held the innocence of childhood and that we still found awe and wonder in the miracles of God's creation, even the small little rolly-polly treasures.

Today is my mom's birthday! Happy Birthday mom! I love you!
Today was a long day, but it wasn't bad. I worked tonight at Chick-fil-a. It rained thismorning and thisafternoon then it became a beautiful day!
A poor little boy in my class threw up today, and another kids went around after that talking about "varmot" which is what he calls vomit. It made me smile. I felt bad for the boy who got sick though, it's never fun to be sick.
That's about all the news today.

Today started out rough, but as the day went on, I woke up more and it turned out to be a pretty good day, complete with rain, which doesn't happen too much around here!

Well, scary thing happened today! I was washing some sea beans that I brought back from Eleuthera, and I picked up one and when I turned it over I realized that there was a scorpion on it! I dropped it quickly. It was still alive, and it scared me to death! Now it's on a glass, and we named it, but I'm not sure how we're going to get rid of it. It's name is Gilbert Bean.

I worked at Chick-fil-a today for the whole day, and then came home and washed the dishes and put away the landry and excersized. It was a long day, but it really was a good day! I love working for parties at Chick-fil-a, and I got to pass out coupons to people, and people love you when you give them free stuff! Well, all people except for the security guard who told me I had to move to a different location......
Ryan cleaned the house and did most of the laundry to, which I appreciated. I hate coming home to a messy house.

Today was a crazy crazy day! For some reason my kids were just crazy and out of control! Maybe it's just because it's Friday! I was worn out by the end of the day though! Tonight we grilled out with our friends, and then went to feed the homeless tonight. Ryan played his guitar there. I'm not sure how I feel about them singing and playing their guitars there, but they are going to start doing it each week. I feel like it's more productive sometimes to just feed them and spend time talking to the people. I guess we'll see. The Lord laid it on one of the men's heart to do this, so who am I to question it really? It was a good night though.

This week has flown by, and we are not even done with laundry from our trip yet! We have been so very busy! We had to take an unexpected trip to Frisco a couple nights ago, but we got McDonald's ice cream and time together on the way, so it was worth it! It's so hard to get back into the swing of things after a trip! I think that things are finally normal at school again. My kids have been good this week, so I appreciate that! It's fun to hear all about what they did on their spring break!
I am also busy trying to plan for our Disney Vacation, which is really fun!
We grilled hamburgers on the grill last night. They tasted good, but they kinda fell apart! We have been having cloudy, but warm weather, and it was a nice evening.
Tonight we have small group. I haven't been to small group in a while, and I am anxious for the fellowship again!

Today was our last full day here in Eleuthera, and boy was it busy! We went to three different churches thismorning trying to get different videos, and then we spent the afternoon doing more video and spending time with the team.
This morning Wade, a friend of ours who went through the training at the center, preached at a church, and his boy, Wade, played the trumpet, as he does every Sunday, in the front row. It was the trumpet that my parents gave him, and it made me so glad to see that it was being used to praise the Lord each week!
Tonight the guys played basketball, and I got to hang out with Tammy and the team. It's so fun to see what the Lord is doing here. It will be sad to leave tomorrow!

We have had a wonderful trip so far! Ryan got some really good interviews for our video the past few days! And we have got to spend some valuable time with our friends. Today we had lunch at Billy’s and we spent the afternoon in James Cistern, a settlement here. I got to spend some time with my friend Tammy, and our friend Mono came to have dinner with the Foxes and us tonight. Yesterday we found more sea beans! We have found some new kinds on this trip! It’s very fun to search for them! I got to hold baby Tristan a lot too! He’s so very cute!
I have bug bites! They itch!

We have had the most wonderful weather here in Eleuthera so far! The stars are amazing!
Yesterday we got to see our friends Wade and Tammy, and their family. It is so very good to see them! I just love the people here! They are like family!
We also got to go to the last two nights of a class of students on the island of spanish Wells. We have a group of classes, and Ryan and I got to meet the people. It's neat to see their lives being changed as they go deeper into the Word of God. Listening to them talk about what they learn and what it means to them in their lives is so very encouraging and uplifting! God is really using the ministry here to bring people closer to Himself! It's so great to be a part of it!

Well, we had a great trip tp Eleuthera, and now we're here and it's great to be back! It's so wonderful to see and catch up with friends, and even make new ones! We got to see our friends' baby finally! Boy is he cute!
The Lord is already teaching us things here, and I know He will continue to teach us. It's been wonderful to have discussions about the ministry and where it's going and what we'll be doing here and things like that.
This morning I got to walk along the beach and search for sea beans, which I love doing! I found some kinds that i have neevr found before! I think sea beans are little blessings of joy from the Lord in my life!

Today was the funnest day ever! First today we met Ryan's Aunt Nancy and her friend Joyce at the Dallas Aquarium! It was so very cool! It was a huge aquarium with tons of fish and a rainforest and lots of animals like a zoo! So cool! It was fun to stch up with Aunt Nancy and see family!
Then tonight we went swing dancing! It took a while to talk Ryan and our friend Matt into it, but eventually Suki and I talked them into it and we had so much fun! Now Ryan even wants to go again! We aren't too good at it yet, but we got better as the night went on. I can't wait to go again!

Today was a fun day! All this week in Kindergarten we have been "traveling around the world". Today we went to Peru and Mexico. We had lots of yummy food, and the kids got to pound dough into tortillas. We had a pinata and learned about llamas! We also had some pineapple juice from Peru! Everyday this week I have left school exhausted! We have had lots of fun, but when there is a visitor in the classroom like this week, the kids are extra crazy! Today though, I got to come home instead of going to work or somewhere else, so I took a nap and then we went out to eat! To continue the festivity of the day, we went to On The Border!
Did I mention Monday that Ryan won his basketball championship! I am so proud of him! All his life he has always been in championship games, but he never won one until he married me! =) Last year he won his football championship, and this week basketball! He has a great team from church, and they are all good friends of ours. They sure played good! They had to play two games MOnday night, and they still won! I'm pretty sure that it's because I prayed that they would win. I started out the game praying that they would have fun, even if they didn't win, but then I got so excited that I had to pray that they would win! God always answers my prayers!

Let me tell you, the Lord never stops teaching me about grace, love, and faith. I have gotten several renewed lessons on all of these this past week! You would think I would have learned by now!
Ryan's heart has been acting wierd at night the past week when he's asleep.
We have been praying about it, and today he went to the doctor and he said that it's not a "heart problem" but rather a simple problem that was from advil that he had been taking, and it should go away. What a blessing that was! God always tells me to have faith, and I always struggle through it, and God always answers my prayers!
This weekend was busy! We spent all day yesterday at church, and Saturday we had a fun night. OUr friends came over and we played Monopoly! It was very fun! And there was a partial eclipse of the moon. I hope you got to see it. It was fun to look at!
Today was China and Japan day at school! We "traveled" there and the kids even got passports complete with stamps, pictures, and fingerprints! We ate seaweed and fortune cookies even! I have to say that the fortune cookies are A LOT better than the seaweed! It was a fun day!

I started to write "February", but it's not anymore! How sad! I have so much going on right now and I have been tired and stressed the past couple of days. Tonight I took the night off and rested and caught up on a few things. I missed small group though. I did get to talk to my friends from high school tonight though, which was a blessing! It's always fun to talk to old friends.
