Last day of January, 2007
It wasn't a very good day today. I have a cold and I felt bad all day, and my friend's mom died, so that's been very sad today. Pray that I feel better tomorrow, and pray for the family who lost their mom.

Almost February, 2007
I dated it this way because I'm so excited for February! It's the best month, and I can't wait for it to get here!

Tonight was fun, Ryan played basketball and I went to watch, and I got to sit and talk to my friend, Suki! It was very fun! She's a teacher too so we get to tell teacher stories. I do have to say though that her stories make me feel very thankful for the school I teach at!

I just took some Nyquil, and I'm a bit loopy! So I do apologize if I sounds silly or make errors. I'm sure I will fall fast asleep any minute. Tonight was our Night of Worship at church, not that we don't worship any other time, but tonight was a special time of reflection, prayer, and singing. Our pastor also shared a vision of where our church hopefully will move towards.

It was a very good night. Ryan and I were a little stressed the whole time, so it wasn't the best for us. The video and lights and sound were all harder tonight to do, there were a lot of extra things which made our jobs harder, so really we didn't get to pay much attention to what actually was going on. But our stresful night is over, and God is still Good.

I found myself tonight staring into the eyes of a man I thought was going to kill me. My heart was beating out of my chest, and all I wanted to do was run to Ryan and hide behind him. He had that look of hate and evil in his eyes, and he was staring directly at me. He was a homeless man, and as it turns out, he's deaf. We were feeding the homeless tonight, I had asked him if he needed any clothes, but he couldn't hear. When I could finally look away, I decided to just ignore him, and he went away. I was filled with fear though for the rest of the night. Later I was talking in a group if people, and he came up, and smiled, and put out his hand for me to shake.

It was like he was a different person. He even gave me a hug, and he tried to comunicate as well as he could with the group. All I could understand from what he was trying to say was something about Jesus and praying and cold. He seemed friendly, but then as we were leaving I caught his eye again and i was filled with fear. It was a wierd night, and I am glad to knwo that God is with me, and that He is All-knowing and All- Powerful, knowing my life and the life of this man, who I pray comes to kn ow the Lord someday.

Pretty normal day today. One sad thing though, I found out that I am not going to be in my Bible study any more on thursday nights because they are having it on the same nights as small group this semester. I'm pretty sad about that.

Have you ever seen a hedgehog in realy life? I saw one today for the first time and boy are they cute! It was all curled up in a ball! It had the cutest face! I want one! I figure it would make a nice pet! I just know Ryan will want one if he could only see one! Today in Kindergarten we had animals brought into the class for them to see and pet. We had a tree frog, a hedgehog, a boa constrictor, a big lizard (who laid an egg while it was there!), a crawfish, a hooded rat, some other rodent that I forget the name of, and a turantula. It was very fun! The kids screamed and had so much fun! Some were afraid to touch the animals, and some had the snake around their necks. I love watching their expressions!

Pray for a lady that I work with at Chick-fil-a. Her husband died this week. Her name is Mary and she's a very sweet lady.

Sunday! Today was okay. Ryan didn't feel too good today. We had church, which went well. But then I had to work at Open House for school. I stood there for an hour and nobody even came in my room! Poor Ryan had to wait in the car the whole time too. Oh well. The sun was shining today! I don't feel as though we've had enough winter for spring to come yet, so I'm not sure how I feel about it getting warmer. We'll see!

Today was pajama day! I stayed in my pj's all day! Ryan and I both worked this morning at Chick-fil-a. He was the cow. He loves it! And it was pajama day there, so I got to wear my pajamas, which was perfect to go home in and take a nap! I didn't even have to change! Then we lounged around all day, and even ate dinner in bed. It was great! Now, don't think that this happens often. Ryan hates when we have a lazy day and I stay in my pj's all day, but he acted like it didn't bother him because he knew it made me happy =) Tomorrow it's back to reality.

No snow day today, sad really. One of the girls in my kindergarten class today said "I'm not going to eat my snack today because I'm in a wedding soon and I might not fit into my dress." A 5 year old said that! I couldn't believe it! It starts so young! Kindergarteners should be thinking about making snowmen and chasing butterflies and who ate the crayon, not how will they fit into a dress! It made me sad.

I love my kids in my class. We made Monkey Bread today. A poor little boy I think didn't understand the whole concept, and he didn't put much cinamon sugar on his. It was very sad. He only will ever go through Kindergarten once, and only make Monkey bread in kindergarten once, and he did it wrong. It made me think about how important the experiences that they have this year are, and how how I interact with them will shape a lot of their kindergarten and life experience. It's a big responsibility that God has given me!

What a great super day! Ryan woke me up this morning so excited and said "Guess what! You don't have school today!" It was the best! We had a snow day! I got to go back to bed and sleep in! And I got cleaning done, and I made a pie for Ryan, and it was just so great! Ryan's school was closed too, and he got to finish the website he's been working on. God is so good! I prayed that we would have a snow day, and we did! And I prayed that Ryan would have the chance to finish the website, and he did! God gave us the best day today!

Busy day! Pretty normal though. I worked and then worked more. Tonight was CHick-fil-a night. It was a fun night, but I did drive thru and boy was I chilly!

I was on my break today and I was thinking about what my Kindergarteners will be when they grow up. It was fun to think about. Maybe one of them will be the president, and they will say, "My Kindergarten teacher taught me everything I need to know!" OK, so that probably won't happen, but it's fun to think about. I was thinking about the poem "Everything I ever need to know I learned in Kindergarten." It's true really!

Well, so much for my New Year's Resolution! I never have kept one yet! I was hoping to write a journal each day, and I don't think I've written many this week at all! It has been a wonderful week though! The Lord has given me joy this week. Tonight Ryan and I went out with our friends Matt and Suki to a movie and they made us dinner, which was great! We went to see Deja Vu, which i don't know how to spell. It was intersting, but a little scary for me. Ryan liked it. It definitly kept you thinking the whole time, that's for sure. It was just nice to spend time with friends! We cherish the friendships that the Lord has given us here in Dallas!

Today I also worked two birthday parties for Chick-fil-a, and Ryan worked at church this morning. Let me tell you, God provides! I got tips from working today, and it was just we need right now to pay for something! God is amazing!

Today was a long day up in Frisco at church. Ryan preached at Primera Iglesia thismorning, which is a Spenish church in Frisco. We love going to that church! They make us feel like family. They are a small church, but they are currently the only church supporting us for Eleuthera. They mean so much to us! Ryan did a great job preaching. It's not easy to preach with a translator, but he did a greta job! Tonight we had a progress meeting for church, and it was great! Long, but great! The Lord is doing great things in our church! God's grace and mercy blows me away!

Today in Frisco there was a hot pink limo! I wanted to take a ride in it!
Unfortuanatly I don't think they would let me. Then we saw a yellow Lamberguini, I don't know how to spell that, sorry, anyways, it was a cool car! I would rather have the pink limo though!

We had a good day today. We operated the soundboard for a wedding this afternon. It was fun! And then we went to Fudruckers, on a gift card from our pastor. Ryan now loves Fudruckers, I told him he would like it, but he didn't believe me. If you've never been there, it's a hamburger place, and with every meal you get a free cookie! I think that every restraunt should give everyone a free cookie when they leave!

Today we had show-and-tell at school. One of my kids brought a shell shocker, which I have decided is the coolest toy ever! And one girl brought cabbage patch kids! Do you remember what Cabbage Patch kids smell like? I had forgotten, but the smell brought back many fun memories!

I have spent the whole day motivated to get things cleaned and organized. I cleaned the other closet today, and the rest of the house. Ryan had to work all day, so it gave me a lot of time to think and relax too. So far, it's been a great year! I watched "Cheaper by the Dozen 2" tonight. I think I like it even more than the first one!

Ryan's grandma got us new dressers for CHristmas! They are sooo very cool! Our bedroom looks so springy now! We spent the evening putting them together together. The bad part was that I stepped right on a needle and it went really far into my foot. So it's sore now. Ryan had to pull it out. It was a traumatic experience. Well, not really, I tend to be a little dramatic sometimes, but it hurt!

Tomorrow I go back to school. It will be fun to see my kids again.

That's the very first time I got to Write "2007." It was fun! We had a great New Years! Last night we rang in the New Year with friends from church. We played pool, poker, and Dance Dance Revolution! I won poker! And I didn't win the dance game, but we sure had a lot of fun!

Today I cleaned out our closet, which was a mountain sized task that took most of the day. I feel as though I have accomplished a great feat! We also got to play Chutes and Ladders tonight! Remember that game? It's so fun! Ryan got it for me for Christmas. We like to play games. Tonight Ryan and I are going to relax and enjoy the rest of the first day of 2007 together.
