Last day of April, 2007
Well, today I acidentally flicked off one of my Kindergarteners. It was funny actually. I was trying to teach her about subtraction, that two fingers minus one finger is 1 finger, and I put down the worng finger, and her jaw dropped and she said "Mrs. FLunker!! Your just gave me the finger!!" I was embarrassed and said it was an accindent, and she of course went back and told everyone else, and when I looked at her she said "accidentally..." It was funny.
My kids tell the funnest stories too! One of my kids told me so inocently about how one of her family members said the "s" word htis weekend. I don't if parents realize how much their kids remember! And I get to hear all about it! I suppose they get to hear all about me flicking them off accidentally too!

Today was a fun day. Church went well this morning. It's funny how when the Lord wants to tell me something, He tells me many times so I get the point. This week He brought a verse from Galatians to my mind, and the pastor talked about the verse in the service today again. The verse talks about not growing weary in doing good, but at the right time, if we don't give up, we'll reap a harvest. It's a good verse.
This afternoon Ryan worked on some work, and we got to take a nap, and our friends cmae home today so we picked them up at the airport. It's nice to have them back! And I cleaned today, so our apartment is clean too! Tomorrow starts a new week, and it's a short one for me because I'm going to a wedding this weekend! I'm excited!

Today Ryan and i worked for a carnival for Chick-fil-a. Ryan was the cow, and it went much better this time! No beating up the cow! Ryan appreciated that. There were just little kids who loved to hug him and give him high fives!
After that I worked for a while more doing birthdya parties, and then we got to spend the afternoon togetherat home. It was a fun day for us.

Today was the best day of the week! I love Fridays! I am glad the week has come to a close. Tonight I took a nap for the first time in a while, and I slept so good! I am finally off of my poison ivy medicine that doean't let me sleep, and let me tell you, it's so nice to be able to sleep good! Next time you have a really good night's sleep, rejoice! Praise God for it! It's a blessing!
I drive every day down a long expressway willed with busy people and fast cars. ON the highway though, on one part of it, there are the most beautiful flowers!!! It's just this section with tons of color and I know that most people never notice it, but for me it makes me smile every time I pass it. It adds joy to my life!

Tonight we went on a date to Panara bread and Barnes and Noble. We got a fun game with some gift cards and played it too! It was a fun day. This morning was an early morning, we woke up early to take our friends to the airport, and then we had a fun morning together before work. So it started off the day good. Mornings are fun!

My favorite part of today was the rain that came in the afternoon. I got drenched!! I'm talking WET! We had to stand out in car line and put our kids in the cars and for some reason they liked to stop right before the car while I got soaked! I have to say that it was fun to watch them have fun in the rain! One little girl walked out with her mom and I watched them as they screamed all the way to their car and splashed through the puddles. What fun times! Ryan and I had fun too when he picked me up from school. We drove through all the puddles on the way to Chick-fil-a. Sometimes that rain can be just what you need.

It was a tough day back at school. I have not been able to get much sleep from itching from my poison ivy all night and my medicine keeps me up, and poor Ryan stayed home today sick. He's got a fever and is just feeling bad. My kids were not behaving well at all today either, which made it difficult. And one of my kids was sad all day for some reason and I felt so bad for him. Pray that tomorrow goes better. God is good, even when we're not having the best days.

Church was a little crazy this morning. We were missing some volunteers so I had to do media shout which was stressful, and poor Ryan had to do like three jobs at once. But the message, at least what I heard of it, was good. The pastor talked about spiritual gifts and how really we should be doing the things that we are energetic and enthusiastic about, because those are the things that God has gifted us for.
This afternoon we came home and I tried to sleep but was still too itchy, and Ryan slept a long time from being sick still. He's getting better though. Tomorrow is another week with lots to do. My plan is to have my poison ivy gone soon! We'll see if that happens!

This morning I got to go out for coffee with a few friends. It was nice to just talk. The Lord has given me good friends here! Then i came back and cleaned the rest of the day and did laundry, and Ryan went in to work at church for a while. Now I am having frustrating computer problems that are ticking me off!!
I got to talk to my dad tonight though which was fun too!

Today we went to the zoo for a field trip! It was very fun! It was nice for me to have 18 parents and 16 kids going. I got to enjoy a lot more not having to keep track of many kids. It was fun to spend time with the kids and parents at the zoo! I think my favorite animals to see were the monkeys! They were fun!
Tonight Ryan is sick and so we stayed home from feeding the homeless. We did got to have dinner outside with our friends though, and I think the fresh air of outside made Ryan feel a little better. Hopefully he'll be as good as new soon!

Today is Ryan Flunker Day! Yes, Ryan has his own day named after him. The mayor of Cedarville named a day after Ryan in the town, and we still celebrate it each year, well at least I do. We're home from Las Vegas now. Ryan is glad to be home! It was a fun trip, and we got some rest even. Today we went to a few more seminars and then left for the airport. Our good friend Sukey picked us up from the airport and then we spent some time catching up with her and her husband Matt. What great friends we have!

Today was Ryan’s day off. By “day off”, I mean that I told him that we didn’t have to go do anything I like to do, like sightseeing on the strip or shows. So far this trip he has done everything I have wanted to do, so today was his day. With his day, after we spent the morning and afternoon at the conference, we rode the monorail all of the way both ways through the city. It was so fun! And then he took me to Red Lobster. I know, it sounds like another day of things I love right? Well that’s because he’s so great and said that with his day he wanted to take me to do some things that I love because it makes me happy and that makes him happy. He’s wonderful! After that we came back to the hotel and relaxed. We’ve spent the rest of the evening watching TV, shows that he likes, like the discovery and history channels. It’s been another fun day!

Today was a great day! We got to got to the Hoover Dam this morning! We woke up early and drove there and back. It is beautiful! It's so amazing that people actually built that! Ryan had the best time being a little bit back into nature too. He was happy! The desert is just beautiful! I love all of the mountains! They were all different shades of colors! After we drove back into Vegas we went to a resort that promised us free show tickets, and our host was a really nice guy who we talked to for a while. He has had a rough life, and when his wife died, he came here to pretty much drink his life away in sorrow. He did for about a year and then decided to go back to work and change things. So he's working in Vegas. He still seemed so sad about his wife though. We feel bad for him, and pray that he becomes a Christian some day. So please pray for him too. He seems like such a tender-heareted guy.
After that we went to the conference for the afternoon. We went to a session on webcasting and podcasting. I was lost pretty much the whole time, but I do have to say that I learned a few things, like what streaming is. Then Ryan stayed there for a while and I went to get a prescription for my poison ivy filled, it's gotten much worse, so I figured I better get some real medicine.
Then I went and picked Ryan back up, and we headed off to "The Blue Man Group", which is the show we chose as our free tickets, even though only one was free for this show. IT WAS SOOOOO COOL!!!!! Before it began they took rows and rows of white streamers and passed them down every isle for people to decorate themselves with! I'm sure Ryan will include a picture somewhere!...
The show was so very funny and just so cool! Bright lights and loud and paint flying everywhere! The first section of people had to wear plastic coverings because of the paint! Then at the end they took soooo much paper and just started in the back and everyone handed it forward for like 15 minutes! Gobs and Gobs of this big paper!! PIles of it we would pass over our heads! It was so fun!! You should definitly go if you ever get the chance!
It was a very fun day for us! We thank the Lord so much for giving us a fun time away to spend together!

We're in Las Vegas! We got here late last night, about midnight. We are here for the week for the NAB conferences, which is a huge, and by huge I mean HUGE conference for technology and media. We are going to worship production seminars this week. We went to a couple today, and they were intersting. I don't know a whole lot about production and media and that kind of stuff, but it's fun to learn about the things Ryan does and is good at.
Tonight we walked down the strip and looked at all of the fun lights. We were offered a few shows for free, which we have to tour a place to get the tickets, and we also had to put a down payment on that we are supposed to get back. But we're not sure if its not a scam?! Stay tuned to tomorrow's to see if we actually do. I love the mountains here! It's such a fun place. Ryan hates it with all of the people and traffic. We met a lady today who said he was the first minister she had ever met here in the "City of Sin." Tomorrow is filled with lots, so stay tuned...........

Well, today has been about tornados and poison ivy so far, no fun either one. There was a tornado while I was at work and Ryan was at our apartment. It was really scary, but we're safe. It ruined the birthday party I was hosting though. The birthday girl was happy though and she got her purple baloon, so that's the important thing.
I also have poison ivy which is no fun. I must have got to camping last weekend. I went to the doctor today because it has been spreading and getting worse.
I am thankful tonight for the things the Lord has blessed us with.

Today I met with a friend that I am going to do discipleship with. I am really excited to be able to study the Bible with her! I love to do discipleship! I'm very challenged by the oportunity. I am praying that the Lord will teach us both a lot through our time.
I'm very tired now. Goodnight.

Today sure was a busy day! I have to get everything ready for next week too this week, so i have double to do. Tonight we got to take a walk, and we went to the store, it was a fun little date. Tonight I am writing out report cards and grading tests. That's not my favorite part of Kindergarten. It's fun to see how my kids have grown and improved this year though. Today they got their caps and gowns in, and I'm excited to see them graduate. I will miss them though. I am proud of them!

This weekend has been so great! THursday we had half-day at school, and we went camping Thursday night through Saturday with our friends. It was sooo cold, but so very fun! We got to climb rocks and walk on the trail and explore, and we saw a snake, but I think it was dead. We roasted marshmellows and played fun games around the campfire. It was just what we needed! Ryan got to fish too! He loved it! We have great friends too! It was so fun to have such great fellowship on the trip, and we got to rest and not worry about anything from normal life...it was great! Read more HERE
Yesterday we had a good Easter too. It was a little sad not having family there, and we didn't do Easter baskets or anything. But our friends invited us over for lunch and we got to spend the day with friends, so that was great. Church was really good inthe morning too. Until this point, there was a cross in front of our sanctuary so it was cool to see it gone. Christ isn't in the grave anymore! I am amazed by God's grace! The rest of the day we got to rest, it was wonderful! Read more HERE
Today I had the day off again, but I was busy almost all day. I worked a little at Chick-fil-a too. And now I have dinner waiting for when Ryan gets home and I am awaiting a peaceful evening with my husband!

Today is my brother's birthday! Happy Birthday Jeremy! I got to talk to him today and it was great to catch up!
Another highlight of my day is that I made a pie and so far it's my best pie ever! It's a blackberry pie from my Aunt Susan's recipe. Thanks Aunt Susan! It's so yummy! I am very proud because usually my pies have undone crust and are all runny, but this one was perfect!

Today was a long day for some reason! It just seemed extra long! It wasn't bad though, actually it was good. We had fun in school today. We did science experiments with eggs, which I called "egg-speriments" We made eggs float, and put an egg in the palm of our hands, and when you do that it's impossible to break it. It was fun!
Tonight I worked at Chick-fil-a, and Ryan came with his accountability group there too, so it was fun to see him and get to spend my break with him. That always makes that night go faster.
Pray that it doesn't rain this weekend because we're going camping!

Back to school today. In school we blew out eggs and we will dye them tomorrow and fill them with jelly beans! The kids had fun doing that. So did I! I love doing fun activities like that with my kids. It's fun to watch them do new things. They all thought the eggs looked like snot! It was funny to watch their reactions.
