Happy Halloween! It was a crazy day today! The kids at school dressed up like movie and cartoon characters, so of course everyone was crayz, and to add to it, today was ice cream day at lunch then we had a baker come in and teach the kids to decorate cupcakes and cookies, so we gave 5 year olds ice cream, cookies, and cupcakes! You can imagine what followed! Craziness!
When I got home I was exhausted and fell on the couch to take a nap, then tonight Ryan and I did a carnival for CHick-fil-a. Ryan was a great cow, and the carnival was pretty fun. They had a petting zoo even with a deer and a kangaroo! I have never gotten to pet a kangaroo before! It was very fun!

Last night we didn't get home until 1:30, so I slept in this morning, but Ryan had to go to work at church at 6:30am. He had a much better day though than I thought he would, and he got a long a nap after church too. Today has pretty much been a restful day, plus unpacking which is not my favorite thing ever. I will hopefully be rested up for the week though. Now if I can only get my nose to stop running............

Today we left Freeport. We were able to do a lot before we left though. We went to see a house that's being built, and we were able to get some video that Ryan needed to make a DVD, and we got to drive farther out of Freeport to the west side of the island. WE got back just in time to say good byes to the Foxes and leave for home. It was a long, but relativly easy trip home. Our flights went well and we were happy to see our friend Matt at the airport to pick us up at midnight. I have to say, the Lord gave us a very fruitful trip. We accomplished all the things we were hoping to acomplish. It's a bit of a change going to Freeport, and I think it will take a while to adjust, but the Lord seems to be leading us in that direction, and I know that His plan is the best. Pray for us as we shift gears and prepare this coming year.

Our trip is going well so far still, besides one little (funny) insident this morning.....when Ryan turned the TV on in our hotel room, it was kinda crackling and making a really strange sound, and I told him to turn it off because he could blow up the TV.....well, he kept it on.....and a few minutes later all of a sudden all of th electricity went off! I told him! We soon discovered that the electricity was off on the whole island....I blame Ryan =)
So that was kinda a funny start to our day. Eventually the electricity came back on. We were able to look at more apartments and housing. And we go to price more stuff and get a better feel for the island. Tonight we went out to eat in a touristy place for dinner with the Foxes. It has been raining everyday so far, but it's a nice rain and it doesn't rain for very long. The sun still shines when it rains. I like that about this place.

Today was a productive day for us. We got to check out places to live, and we were able to price lots
of things like food and insurance and phones. They have more things here than in
Eleuthera, which will make getting supplies easier. This afternoon I took a long nap. Traveling wears me out with the baby I
think. Tonight we went to dinner with the Foxes and walked around. It's a lot different here in Freeport. I am not sure how I feel about it
yet. God has certainly blessed us on
our trip so far though.

We had a great trip today to Freeport! Both of our flights went well. On our first flight though I will have to say that the stewardess
wasn’t the nicest person. She yelled
at this poor old man to sit down several times, and the guys was just
trying to wait for someone to get back from the bathroom. It was funny, but not very good that she
wasn’t very nice. We arrived in
Freeport tonight around 9:00, and our friend Brad was waiting at the
airport. It was a breath of fresh
air to be back in the Bahamas, even if we’ve never been to Freeport before. At our hotel we met up with Alicia and
their son Tristan and we talked for a long time and got to catch up
some. It is so exciting to think
about the things that the Lord is going to do here in Freeport in the
future! Being here makes it even
more exciting! Praise the Lord for
safe flights today and the reunion of friends, and the possibilities of the
future!

God said "Let there be light!".........in our closet that is. Our
closet light has been broken for months now, which is really annoying. But
thismorning I turned it on and for a few seconds there was nothing, and
then all of a suden the light came on!!! Ryan woke and said
"What?!" He was just as suprised that it worked! It was a
miracle!
The rest of the day was good too. It's FINALLY Fall
weather! It was in the 50s and 60s today! It did rain a lot, but it was
nice to have cooler Fall weather. I came home from school and cleaned and
decorated for Fall. Then I curled up on the couch with hot chocolate. So
wonderful!

There was a little baby at church today. She was just born a few weeks ago,
and she's so very cute, and LITTLE! I sat there for the longest time just
watching her. Every move she made made my eyes widen. Every time she kicked
I would hit Ryan to get his attention so that he could see too. We were
amazed at the little life God had created, and to tell you the truth, it
was little scary. I had no idea what to do with the baby! What am I going
to do when ours comes? We don't know what to do with a baby. Oh goodness..........we'll
see. Good thing the Lord knows what He's doing.

This morning I got to sleep in! And thisafternoon Ryan and I worked at a carnival
for Chick-fil-A. Yes, Ryan was the faithful cow again. He is such a great
husband to be the cow! This carnival went well and tonight we had dinner at
CHick-fil-a then I got to take a nap! afte that we watched Evan Almighty,
which I have to say turned out to be a great movie! My mom and dad would
like it because it has alpacas in it! And today I got a gift in the mail
from my Uncle Mike and Aunt Susan. THey sent us pictures of our niece and
nephew, Maggie and Noah. It was a great gift! We never get to see the kids,
and it's hard not to be there to watch them grow up. They're so big now! I
am excited to hopefully get to see them over Christmas!

Tonight was a pretty good day. Unfortunatly, I came home from work with a
headache though and took and nap, and still had a headache. We had dinner
with our friends, then we went to feed the homeless downtown, and I have to
say, my headache went away and it turned out to be a pretty good evening.
The Lord gave me some extra energy and I ended up having some good
converasations and meeting some encouraging people. Sometimes the joy of
homeless people suprises me. We met a man who was just so very happy. He
has been homeless for a year and next week he has a bus ticket to go home
to see his kids. He just had such a great attitude, and he asked us to pray
for him. So we did. It's humbling to see people who don't have the things
we do, and yet they seem so content and praise the Lord. Another blessing
came from our friends from the seminary tonight. It was another time that
the Lord showed us the He ALWAYS provides, even when we aren't sure about
the next step. It was very encouraging!

Well, so much for writing a journal every day this month. Sorry. This past
weekend we went to our friend's lake cabin and spent the weekend with our
small group from church. Let me tell you, it was the best weekend! So
great! We got to relax, and fish, and spend fun time together in nanture! I
didn't catch any fish, but Ryan did, which is what I prayed for! God
answered a lot of prayers that weekend, for instance, Amy couldn't find any
hot chocolate that wasn't expired, she looked everywhere, then she prayed
and hot chocolate magically appeared in the cupboard! Fun things like that
were little blessings.
This week has been okay, yesterday wasn't the best though,
until I came back to my classroom to find that Ryan had left me the most
beautiful flowers on my desk! That made my day! They are purple and yellow,
so pretty! MOnday I was super sleepy all day and ended up going to bed by
7:30. ANd Tuesday night I went to watch Ryan play basketball, which was
fun.
Today I am finding myself longing for Eleuthera. I miss it
there. There are so many people there that are such wonderful friends. We
are excited about our upcoming trip to Freeport too! The Lord has worked it
out for us to go soon, and we are just so excited! You can be praying for
our trip!
Well, that's about all for now.

It was a beautiful day today! Perfect weather! Just perfect! Today was fun
too. We had a camping party in Kindergarten. They read stories in tents,
had a bug hunt, made smores, and made lanterns, vests, and headbands! It was
very fun, but exhausting too. By the end of the day I was super tired so I
came home and fell asleep.

Today was a great day! Tonight I got home and Ryan called to tell me not to
make dinner, then he took me on a date! We went to Panara Bread. We always
used to go there back in Cedarville. Then we went for ice cream. It was a
perfect evening! Ryan was in a great mood! He decided that life was too
short to waste it being busy and stressed. That's true too! Life can pass
you by so quickly, and every moment should count! We had a fun evening!

Not the best day in the world. But the evening was great. I went to watch
Ryan play basketball, and even though they lost, it was a really good game.
He played really well! Our friend Matt played too so I got to sit with
Sukey. It was fun!

I think I felt better today than any day so far since I have been pregnant!
I was even only a smigind tired too! That's such a blessing! Another
blessing...our friend was in the hospital this weekend, and now she's doing
much better! One thing to pray about, Ryan is feeling overwhelmed and
exhausted right now. I told him he was having sympathy exhaustion =) He
doesn't agree....but really he is bogged down with a lot on this mind right
now, so pray for him.

Ryan has been looking forward to today since last October! I'm pretty sure
it's his favorite day of the year! We went to the Frisco Blue Grass
Festival today. It was hot! We went and sat in the air conditioning for
some of it actually. It was a very fun day though. They had fun bands and
we had so much fun spending the day together! By evening it was a little
cooler and it was a perfect drive home.
Check out the article and pictures of the Fesitval HERE.

I didn't feel good all day. I have had a sinus headache since yesterday,
and it has lasted all day today too. It wasn't a very fun day, but that's
okay. We did get to take a walk together though!

It was very fun! It was 165 beats per minute! Baby's heart is working hard!
It was the highlight of my week!

Today was pretty good. I went to bed last night at 6:30and slept all night,
then took a nap during my break today, so I am feeling rested right now. We
had small group tonight too, which is always fun. Tonight in small group we
just asked Ryan questions about the Bible, and it was fun to learn more
about certain things. It was a late night though, so I'll probably be tired
tomorrow.

Tonight I tried to make a wonderful dinner, which was supposed to turn out
great and Ryan would love it. The bad thing is that I'm not the best cook
ever, actually, I'm not really a good cook at all, so the steak ended up
super dry, and the potatoes weren't done all the way, and the asparugus
wasn't too good either. Ryan, being the wonderful husband that he is, said
how wonderful it was and never once mentioned that it wasn't the best meal
ever. I'll keep trying, in hopes of one day cooking a great meal.

My goal for October is to write a journal every day. We'll see how it
goes.....
Last night I didn't get much sleep at all, and thismorning I was very
exhausted. I ended up staying home today and slept until almost noon. I
needed the rest. Ryan took good care of me and told me to not do any work,
but just to rest, which was nice. This baby sure wears me out! I'm thankful
for it though. Yesterday was a busy day. We had church in the morning, then
Ryan had a football game. They won again! He got 3 touchdowns! He has a
good team, I have fun watching him play. After that we had lunch with our
friends Dan and Michelle. Ryan used to live with Dan when he first moved to
Dallas, and now Dan is married and we're still good friends with them. Last
night we had a class at church too.
Saturday we went out with our friends to play tennis and
for shaved ice, which is really like a flavored snow ball! It's very tasty!
And we had a lot of fun playing tennis too! And on our way back we played a
game in the car where you have to guess a song by just a note at a time,
and whoever can guess it with the least notes wins. It was very fun. We're
very thankful for our friends.
