Last day of 2007! It’s been a good year. Ryan and I look back and are amazed to see how the Lord has worked in our lives this year! Today we went to the cabin, all snow-covered. And we went out ice fishing for a little bit! It was scary! The only thing I know of ice fishing is seeing in movies how people fall through! We drove the car out on the ice even! It was very fun! I was all bundled up! I’m sure Ryan will put pictures on! We played games tonight, Apples to Apples, which I never win, and a game kinda like telephone where you pass a paper along and write sentences and draw pictures. We had a lot of fun! And we had a big turkey and cheese and jerkey! It was a fun last day of the year!

Today I had another baby shower in Wisconsin! It was very fun, a tropical shower! I have to say that by the end of the day I was exhausted! There were lots of people there at the church for the shower! I got lots of gifts, and it was amazing to me to see how many people came that I didn’t even know! The people from Ryan’s church are so wonderful!
Also, Ryan preached in church both services today, and he preached last night. He preached on John 3:16, and he did such a great job! He doesn’t really like to preach, but he told the Lord that he would take the opportunities given to him, I’m glad, because I think the Lord really uses Ryan through his preaching. He does a good job at making you think of scripture in ways you may not have thought about them before.
It was just a wonderful day! And, my cold is getting better!

Today we traveled to Ryan’s parent’s house in northern Wisconsin, and we had our Christmas there. It was fun to be at their house again! And, I got a maternity pillow for Christmas! I have been wanting one for a long time! It was a fun day!

Praise the Lord, oh my soul! All my inmost being, praise His Holy Name! Both Ryan and I are just floored at the faithfulness of the Lord! He is so very good to us! When times are tough for us, the Lord always provides everything we need and more! This week the Lord has just astounded us by His grace and mercy! We are filled with praise and humbled that He takes such good care of us!
tonight we took one of our friends out for a Christmas dinner, he, Ryan, and Matt went to a movie. It was such a good night! Christmas is such a wonderful time of the year! This Christmas especially is special to Ryan and I. Next year we won't be living in the United States, and it will be hard for us, so this year we are enjoying every bit of it we can.
If you have never heard the song "Let there be Light" by Point of Grace, you should listen to it. It's become one of my favorite Christmas songs!

We have had a good week. This week has been very fun, and one thing that Ryan won't let me forget to write in my journal is something that happened the other day that was so funny...you may have had to be there, so sorry if it's not as funny to you, but we want to remember it =)
The other day Ryan left to go up to our friend's apartment, and I got hungry and the candy jar looked very yummy at the time. They were cherry cordial kisses, and boy did I want one, sugar's not the best for the baby though (or for me). But I thought probably one wouldn't hurt, so I started to unscrew the lid, and just them Ryan walked in, and I jumped up and yelled "what!?" I suppose I was feeling guilty! Ryan didn't know what to say, he had no idea what was going on. Of course he wanted to know what my problem was, but I couldn't stop laughing to tell him! And the problem was that that day my ligaments in my tummy were stretching a ton, and laughing made it hurt way worse, so all I could do is crouch over in pain as I laughed, but I couldn't stop laughing, and Ryan was laughing so hard too! Then when I finally told him the truth, that I was taking candy when he walked in, we both laughed even harder! Boy did it hurt! It will be a fun memory though!

This has been a pretty good weekend! Saturday I was able to rest extra, and I went shopping with Sukey. We finally have groceries in the house now! I haven't had the chance to grocery shop in a while! And today was busy. It began at 5:00 when I woke up from a terrible dream and cried forever! Poor Ryan didn't get to bed until late, then I woke him up early crying! Hopefully i won't have any more dreams like that!
I ran lights this morning in church and then did lots of Christmas shopping, and tonight was our Christmas concert at church, and I ended up running a camera for that. It's funny how the Lord uses people. I never thought I would be at a church running lights and cameras! I can't wait to see how the Lord will use me in the future!

Today was a pretty good day. We found out that our friend will be having her baby Friday, so that's very exciting! And tonight we watched the Borne Ultimatum with Matt and Sukey, which was very fun! Ryan only has two papers left too! I still feel like there's a long time until Christmas, but I'm hoping it will fly by! A fun thing about the Christmas season though is that I have lots of books to read in Kindergarten! It's fun to read Christmas books and sing songs! I am hoping that my kids learn at least a little about the true meaning of Christmas. Some days it seems that all I hear is what Santa is going to bring them, but I love it when I overhear a little kid telling another kid that Christmas isn't about presents, it's about Jesus. At least someone is listening!
Baby Flunker was moving a lot this evening, which was fun too!

Today was a sleepy day for me! For some reason I couldn't sleep last night, Ryan too. So I was sleepy all day today. Thismorning I was thirsty for juice, so for breakfast I was going to have some grape juice, but when I got to the fridge it wasn't there! I thought Ryan probably drank it all last night. I was very dissapointed! We were out of juice! Well tonight while I was making dinner I opened the cabinet and there was the juice, sitting on the bottom shelf......I must be going crazy! I put the juice in the cabinet! A couple weeks ago I found the potato chips in the fridge.....
Ryan doesn't believe me that being pregant makes you lose your mind like that. I keep telling him I'm not really crazy!
Our truck is still broken so we drove to work together today. That was fun!

This weekend was a busy one! Friday night we went downtown to feed the homeless. I have missed the past two weeks, so it was nice to be able to go this week! And Saturday I slept in a little then we headed up to Frisco to church and spent the day decorating the church and doing lights and getting everything ready for Sunday. It was a long day for us! Then today was a long day too. We had a kids program tonight, they did a wonderful job! The tech side of things for us was a little crazy, but everything went okay. I love watching kids do Christmas programs. They are so sweet and inoscent! (well, most of them!) I think that the Lord has given me a heart for ministering to children. And seeing them makes me long for the faith of a child.
I am not ready for another week. I need to sleep more I think. I am praying that the Lord gives me rest and strength! There's a lot to do before Christmas!

Today Ryan downloaded a free demo of Lego Star Wars on the computer, and we spent an hour playing it together. It was very fun to shoot the legos! While I know Ryan should be doing homework, it's much more fun to play and spend time together! It was a fun day.
Oh, and my pie didn't turn out good =( But Ryan, in an attempt to save me from dissappointment, fixed it during the day and hoped I would think that I had made a good pie. It would have worked, but he didn't clean his dishes, so I knew. It made me smile that he fixed it though, and it made me smile that he didn't clean up all his mess, which accidentally gave away his secret! Maybe next my pie will turn out! Until then, we have a good one that Ryan made. =)

In Kindergarten I teach my kids not to take things that don't belong to them. I thought that everyone learned that in Kindergraten.......but aparantly not! Last night someone stole the exhaust system from Ryan's truck and caused damage ($1,200 worth of damage!) Did that person not listen in Kindergarten when the teacher said not to take things that didn't belong to them?! Were they absent that day?! You would think that by the time you grow up you would know that you don't do that. My goal for Kindergarten this year to for every student to know that they shouldn't take things that don't belong to them. Anyways, poor Ryan had to take his truck in to get fixed, them walk a long way to work in the cold. Suprisingly though, when I talked to him he was rather happy for the circumstances. He's the type of guy who likes to walk in the cold. I suppose it was a blessing for him and cheered him up. Today has been a good day other than that. And even with that, we know the Lord will take care of it.
Tonight I tried to make a strawberry pie, but I don't think it turned out good. I think it's way too runny. Maybe it just needs to sit longer, I'll let you knwo tomorrow. It was my first attempt (my first attempt at pies are never good.) Tonight Ryan and I watched a movie together and had hot chocolate....wonderful!
And, yesterday and today the baby has been moving a lot more than ever, so that's been fun too! He's mover all right - just like his daddy!

Today was a sick day for us. Ryan slept almost 14 hours last night, and I slept a lot too. Both of us are fighting colds. We cancelled almost everything today in hopes of getting the extra needed rest to get better. I am feeling a little better, but Ryan is still feeling bad. So you can pray for us. We get to talk to our friends today from Florida, the Paul and LIsa Voss. Lisa is ready to have her baby, which is due Friday. She's anxiously awaiting the little one. Everyone tells me that one you get to the last few weeks of your pregnancy, you are so miserable that you don't care how much labor will hurt, you just want the baby out. While I can't say that I am too excited about that, I am excited to see our little baby.
