I think it's fun that MIcah was born on the 23rd and his initials are MJ - Micah James. I think that maybe he'll love basketball like Miacheal Jordan! Today was an exciting day! We had a lot to go through thismorning getting ready to go home. There was lots of paper work and I had to get one more shot and they took my staples out of my belly. It's funny how now things like shots really don't phase me. I have been pricked so much the last week! We got little Micah all ready to go home, and finally go tthe go ahead to leave. After everything was packed up they wheeled us out. I got to carry Micah with me down to the car, and then after pictures and making sure the car seat was perfect, we left for home. Ryan and I said a prayer in the car with Little Micah for protection, and lots of thanks for our blessing!

Then we got home and walked up to our apaprtment that Matt and Sukey had decorated with lots of balloons and flowers and signs! It was wonderful to be home with our new family! It's just amazing to me that the Lord has blessed us so very much! Tonight will be fun - our first night alone with the baby! He's so very precious!

Day 3 of Micah's little life! He's sooo wonderful! We got a little more sleep last night because we had the nurse take him to the nursery. I hate doing that though because I miss him! By morning Ryan and I are definitly ready to see him! We had a few more friends come today, the Forgeys! They are friends of ours from Small Group, and they brought lots of presents for the baby. It was fun to have visitors! I also was able to eat a little real food for dinner! This is fun for me because I have been eating jello and chicken broth for the last few days! I have to say though that I have grown to like jello and chicken broth a lot, and I feel that I will miss it. Mom and Dad brought chick-fil-A for Ryan and I tonight too which was fun. I will go home tomorrow! It will be an exciting day for little Micah! HIs first trip into the world!

The second day of Micah's life! He slept in the nursery for just a few hours last night, and boy did I miss him when I woke u and he wasn't there! We got a little sleep last night, but not enough. I went for a few walked today though, and although it was a little painful, it wasn't too bad. we had so much fun enjoying our little one today! He's getting better at eating, but there were a few frustrating times. He doesn't cry a whole lot, but when he does, he criiiiiies! His poor little body turns all red and it's not fun! Ryan doesn't like it when he turns red, but he keeps saying how much he loves to hear him, our little baby! It's just amazing! So far we have only had two times, which were very funny, where Micah sqirtted people while changing his diaper. Unfortunatly, laughing is very painful right now! We have loved having visitors! And it's fun having my mom and dad here too! Today for a while we put a sign on the door to keep hospital people out because so many people were coming into our room and we were so tired! I got to take a nice nap in the afternoon. It's just such a wonderful week!

Little Bitty Micah was born today! It was a GREAT day! I actually slept well last night, I'm sure due to the many prayers people were praying for me! And this morning at 6:45 Ryan and I walked to the hospital and checked in! Our nurse was so cheerful! That made it fun! And after I was all hooked up to the IV (which didn't hurt hardly at all this time) and had had all the other preop stuff done, we headed to the operating room! Ryan was so cute in his scrubs!

They sent me in first for my epidural and Ryan came after that. When they gave me the shot I was instatly numb and super drowsy and nausious! I soon couldn't feel anything and people talked to me and I didn't have any idea what they were saying most o of the time. Ryan came in for the surgery, and before I knew it, littleraly before I knew it, there was a little baby crying!!!!! I was so confused at first because I didn't even know that they cut me open yet! I said to Ryan "Is that OUR little baby?"

I couldn't see the baby right away because I was being stitched back up, but Ryan kept telling me that baby Micah s so perfect and cute! I couldn't wait to see him! When he was all wrapped up Ryan showed him to me! He was right...so perfect and so cute! It was AMAZING!

They took me to the recovery room after that and I had to stay a few extra hours because my blood pressure dropped and I was sooooo sleepy and out of it and nausious still too. Ryan ddn't like that part too much because I wasn't doin too well. eventually though I got a little color back and woke up a little more.

The whole day I was so sleepy! It took all of my energy to nurse, and then I was out! I felt bad because all of our visitors and everyone that called I feel asleep in the middle of conversations! Little Micah is such a wonderful miracle! We love him so very much! The Lord gave us a healthy little wonderful baby boy! He is so very gracious and merciful!

I had a doctor's appointment today, and I'm STILL only a centimeter dialated! The baby just does not want to come out! But, we decided to go ahead and do a C-section tomorrow! That's right! Tomorrow! Scary! I'm very excited though and not as nervous to have a C-section than I was to be induced. Tonight mom made rotini for dinner, which is what always chose or my birthday dinners growing up. And we went to get ice cream at Pucigo too! Tomorrow will be an ecxiting day! I hope I can sleep tonight! I'm so excited to meet little Micah!

This morning Ryan went to church, and the rest of us slept in. I wish our church was closer so I could go, but with it being an hour away I didn't want to go so far incase the baby wanted to come today, which he didn't. It was nice to sleep in though, and this afternoon I went with my parents out to eat. I slept a lot today too! I took a nap not long after waking up. I'm just so sleepy! Tonight Ryan and I went for a walk then the four of us sat a bench on campus for a while and enjoyed the evening. It's a full moon tonight, so everyone's hoping the baby will come. We'll see!

Tonight Ryan and I sat forever on the couch and felt the baby kicking and moving all around! It was so fun! He is a kicker, that's for sure! He presses so hard on the side of my tummy! And we play a music box on my tummy, and he dances all around and kicks! It's great! Times like those are more that remind me of the Lord's perfect timing. Today was a good day. I slept a lot! I have just been extra tired lately! My mom made lasagna for dinner tonight, and we watched Enchanted because my dad had never seen it. And later Ryan and i watched The Pacifier, which was a fun movie too!

No baby again today! Ryan went to work today, and he worked a funeral thisafternoon. Dad and Mom and I went to the doctor. I had a sono today, and they measured the baby at 9 pounds and 6 ounces, but they said that the hospital's measurment was probably closer to the real thing, which makes me happy. The baby is still happy and healthy. After the sono we went to lunch and for a walk in the park before going back to the doctor for an actual appointment. We had to wait a while because the doctor was delivering a baby. She said though that everything looks great and she said to get respberry tea and drink it 3 times a day, so after the appointment we went to Central Market and got some. And tonight Matt and Sukey came over for dinner and mom made stir fry. We all ate together.

Ryan's heart has been good! Praise The Lord! It's such a blessing!

Another day of explaining why we haven't had the baby yet! It's kinda comical actually. Everywhere we go people wonder what happened. We didn't do much today. Ryan didn't sleep a lot last night because he slept a lot during the day Wednesday. Dad and Mom went shopping today and Ryan stayed home to go to class and be with me. He has been experimenting a lot lately with Skype. We got new phones and everything that will be good for when we move. Anyways, today while he was in class we had fun because he was online on Skype, so we got to watch him. It was very funny

Well, what a whirlwind of a day! Today's the day that Baby Micah was SUPPOSED to make an appearance into the world, but he decided not to! We didn't sleep very good at all last night. It's hard in an uncomfortable hospital bed when the nurse is coming in every time you roll over to change the monitors. And Ryan didn't get much sleep, if any, either. Thismorning at 5:30 they came in to hook me up to an IV. Not fun! And then at 6:00 they came in to check me and to break my water. The only problem is that the medicine from last night didn't work at all! Nothing changed! I'm still only a centimeter dialated, and the doctor said that my water isn't ready to break! SO they didn't do it. So I laid there forever, and eventually my doctor came in to check me, and she actually said that they could break my water, and she came very close to doing it, but we decided against it for the time. The baby looks really healthy, and they did a few sonos which siad that there's plenty of fluid for the baby and he weighs about 8 pounds 15 ounces. We decided that since the medicines didn't work, and the baby is looking healthy still, we would wait to induce me. So they sent me home! No baby today! I am glad though, because I would rather have the baby without having to be induced. They are going to give me another week to go along and hope he comes, then if he doesn't they'll try next week to induce me again. We packed up all our stuff and headed home, then out to eat at cafe Brazil for lunch. Then it was home for naps and showers. We slept forever! We were joking that we flunked our first try at having the baby! Oh well. I feel bad that everyone has to wait longer! But I figure the Lord's timing is best. I don't mind waiting. I am not miserable like most women are, maybe that's why Micah's not in a hurry. Now though everywhere we go we have to explain to everyone why I still have the baby in my belly!

Long day today! Tomorrow we will have a little baby though! Dad got here today! He drove all the way from Ohio yesterday and today, and he got here around 11 thismorning. We spent the day preparing for the hospital, and Ryan and I went on a walk tonight. It was fun to think that this would be our last walk before our little one would be here! I'm a little, well, maybe a lot nervous, but very excited! Matt and Sukey walked us to thte hospital at 8:00 tonight, and mom and dad drove all our stuff. It's only just across the strees. We'll be able to say that we walked to the hospital to give birth! Everyone but Ryan left soon after we arrived, and they gave me some medicine, I think it's called Cervadil or something like that. The good news is that I don't have to get an IV until morning. Tomorrow is the big day! Now hopefully we can get a little sleep tonight. Our nurse is very nice! Poor Ryan has to sleep on a little pull out chair. I hope he can sleep!
Tomorrow we'll have a little baby!

Today Ryan had an appointment with the Cardiologist. He pretty much said what he said before, but I got to go this time, which was nice. Ryan and I though have a peace about the whole thing. I really think that the Lord has got it all under control and that He will heal Ryan and that we don't need to worry about it!. Ryan has been sleeping so much better and has not had any problems for a while, which is a huge blessing! The doctor gave him some different medicine for his blood pressure, and said to come back in a month. I have to say that the whole thing with Ryan's heart has brought about so many good things in our lives! The Lord has drawn us to Himself in many ways. I am enjoying my time each day reading my Bible, and it's amazing how much more the Lord has been showing me the truths of scripture. The Bible has become so much more alive to me. Ryan and I have had so many great conversations about how the Lord is working and it's been wonderful to spend extra time together. The Lord has just given us peace that we have never experienced before! Thanks so much for your continued prayers! Please continue to pray that the Lord will heal Ryan's heart completely! He does AMAZING things!

Today was a good day. We have been waiting for what seems like forever for the baby to come, but tonight I realized that the Lord's timing is perfect. We had such a fun night! Matt and Sukey came over and we all had pizza for dinner, and we laughed at the picture of the man in the coffee beans, which maybe Ryan will put on our website so you know what I'm talking about. My mom and I laughed the hardest and I almost wet my pants! And we all danced for a long time the rest of the night. It was so fun! There was one point when i was dancing with Ryan and I just thanked the Lord the whole time that Micah hadn't been born when I wanted him to be, because I would have missed that moment dancing with Ryan, and that that night of having fun with our friends and my mom, and I was just amazed all over again at the goodness of the Lord. His timing IS perfect, and He blesses us more than we ever deserve! We can't wait for Micah to be here, and I am so glad that the Lord has it all under control!

Another day, no baby yet. We worked on our support packets a lot today, and I finished a lot of addresses. It was a good day again. My mom and I went to the scrapbook store and I bought some stuff with my birthday money that I had been saving, so that was fun.

Tonight I was reading in the book of John about the woman who was being accused of adultry and was to be stoned, and Jesus told the crowd that the one who has not ever sinned should be the first to throw the stone. And everyone walked away. I love that story. I love that Jesus knew her sin and didn't condemn her, but forgave her and had compassion on her. If you get the chance you should read the story. I am always amazed at how even though God knows our past, present, and future sins, He forgives us and blesses us.

Well, today is D-Day and no baby....we tried lots of things! My mom and I went for a walk in tha park today, and we had spicy chinease food for lunch, and tonight Ryan and I walked very fast around campus! I don't think I've walked thaat fast since I got pregnant! It was fun though and we ran into lots of friends on our walk tonight because tonight is the Spring Fling at DTS. So Chick-fil-A was there too and we got dinner for the three of us and took it home for dinner. We tried to tell Micah that today was his birthday, but he didn't seem to understand. We had a fun day though! And Ryan slept well again! Praise the Lord!

I had a doctor's appointment today. I told the doctor to lie to me if the baby hadn't progressed any past 1 centimter dialated yet. She didn't lie to me though. And I am still only 1 centimeter. So they said that they will induce me Wednesday if nothing happens before then, and they want me to come in Tuesday night and spend the night in the hospital too to give me some medicine that will hopefully give me less of a risk of having to have a C-Section. I am praying for the baby to come sooner though.

Tonight mom made speghetti for dinner. Last night was the first night I didn't sleep good. We woke up around 4am to a big storm. There was a tornado nearby so we stayed up to watch where it was going. It only came within about 11 miles of us, but the storm sure was scary. I coudn't sleep after that. My back and my head and my stomach all hurt, and the baby wouldn't let me sleep on either side. I tried even sitting up to sleep, but had no luck. Finally after hours of trying to find some way to be comfortable, I fell asleep. I am praising the Lord though because Ryan slept good again! It makes my day when he sleeps good. The Lord has watched over him this whole week and given him the whole week of good rest at night! Praise the Lord!

The Day of the Pizza

Ryan worked all day today, and my mom and I rested a lot. Tonight we decided to get pizza for dinner, so we called Papa Johns to deliver. After waiting an hour for them to show up, we finally called them to see where our pizza was. They said it was on it's way and would be there any minute. 15 minutes later we called again, and they said the same thing, and then 15 minutes later we called again and they said the same thing. I think that the pizza guy ate our pizza himself. By this point we were very hungry and called to cancel our pizza which we were sure would never get here anyways. We decided to order from a different place down the street and pick it up. So in the pouring down rain we treked to the truck and went to pick up our pizza, and I did a splendid parallel parking job on the way back and we enjoyed our pizza. We are thankful that the pizza inside stayed dry despite the drenched pizza box! What an adventure just to get pizza!

The Day of the Possum
Today was a fun day. I went to run a few errands with my mom and then took a nap. When Ryan got home from school my mom made pork chops which were very yummy, and then Ryan and I went for a walk. We went to Mc Donalds for our favorite ice cream, and then to walk around campus. On our trek through campus we spotted a possum crossing the street towards us! Of course this was fun because we never see animals like that in the city. So we chased him, but not far because the sneaky little thing hid from us and we lost him! We searched for him for a long time, but came up with nothing. We named him Cliff. He was a nice possum.

No baby yet!

Ryan slept good last night! It's such a wonderdul praise when he sleeps well! The Lord is so good! Today was another beautiful day! We went to the Arbortem thisafternoon and walked around for a while. The flowers were just beautiful! They were so bright! We had lunch at Subway, and then came home and I took a nap. We went to the bookstore too, and there was a book called "How to have a new Kid by Friday." I thought that was funny! I am hoping to have a real new kid by Friday! I think I'm ready for Micah to come now. I don't think he's coming soon though. I think he's stuck in there, perfectly content. We have been walking so much! It seems to do nothing but make my ankles hurt though! The Lord has perfect timing though!

Today was a busy day up in Frisco. We went to church thismorning, and poor mom hurt her back today too somehow, so she couldn't walk too well. Ryan and I went for a walk during the church service, another beautiful day!! And this afternoon we took another walk. After church we went for lunch at LaHacienda, and then we went over a friends house so Ryan could help them set up their sound system for their media room. After that we went home and relaxed the rest of the night. It was a good day!

This morning I got to sleep in! Ryan got up early and went with a friend for breakfast, and then came back so happy and woke me up three times just wanting to hug. Finally I got up, and he went back to sleep! He was happy though that he got to get up early. My mom came today too! She flew in this afternoon! It's so fun to have her here! We all had pizza with Matt and Sukey tonight, and we watched Enchanted. I was excited to watch the movie with my mom. She likes it too!

Today is my brother's birthday! Happy BIrthday Jeremy! And, today was my last day of school! The teachers had a baby shower for thismorning. It was very fun! Micah got lots of new things! I can't wait for him to get here! Today some of my kids got me presents, and we had cookies for snack. It was sad that it was my last day. I'll miss the kids.

When I got home Ryan brought me beautiful roses and to movies for my last day of school. He's so great! Tonight Matt and Sukey came over for dinner and Ryan grilled hamburgers out on the grill. It was a beautiful spring day! The Lord has given us a beautiful spring so far!

Today was a pretty good day. There were supposed to be severe storms and tornados all day, but the Lord kept them away and just gave us pleasant rain, so it was a nice spring day! Baby Micah was moving around all day too! He sure was busy!

Tonight we had small group. There were only 5 of us there, but we had fun. I love small group! Even if you have a bad day and don't want to go, once you do you leave refreshed. We talked about God's immutability tonight, the fact that God doesn't change. That for me the past few months has been such a stronghold, to know that nomatter how I feel or what I go through or what I do, God is still the same...Faithful, Gracious, Merciful, Compassionate, and so much more! I have found myself wanting to know so much more about the Lord. He sure is good to us!

My kids were cute today for April Fools Day. They kept saying things like "It's 2:30! - April Fools!" and "There's a bear in the corner! - April Fools!" It was fun.

Ryan slept good last night, which is such a praise! It's such a blessing when he sleeps good! The Lord answers prayer!
