We just got back from the dentist. Poor Ryan, who is a trooper, had to have a root canal. He's not feeling too well right now, he's still numb. Pray for him. He said the dentist was really nice though. I prayed the whole time. He also has a cavity that he will have to have filled next week. Not too fun for him! He is also preaching on Sunday at a church, so pray that he can talk normal by then, and that it isn't still hurting by then. We realized that going to the dentist isn't the cheapest thing ever, but we just signed up for dental insurance last month. Boy are we glad we did that!
God has blessed us with good jobs. We sure are thankful for them!
At Chick-fil-a last night the cow was there. Well, really the man dressed up as a cow. It was fun to watch the kids hug him and say "hi cow!" It made my night! I love kids!

We have officially been married a year! Yesterday was our first
anniversary! It was wonderful! We both agree that this has been the best year! Everyone keeps telling us that the first year is that hardest, but for us it has been great! It has been a busy weekend for us. Friday we spent the day in Frisco. Ryan worked for a while and then we went to lunch and to see the DaVinci Code. I liked it, Ryan didn't. I think that's because Ryan read the book and was comparing it.
Then we went over one of Ryan's friend's house that night and we watched a movie called "The God Who
Wasn't There." It's a really messed up movie on Christianity, pretty much
saying how it's not real. Then we all discussed it. So Friday was full of faith challenging movies! It was so good for us to be able to see these things because it challenged us even more to be able to back up what we believe, and have answers to things when people ask us.
Saturday was our anniversary celebration day. We spent the day resting, and we went out to eat that night. It was wonderful! And Sunday we went to church and then we have been house sitting for our pastor. Their family went out of town and we got to stay at their house and play with their puppy! It was so fun! And it was nice to be in a house and have a TV to watch and a backyard to sit out in at night. We sat out on the porch swing for a long time talking while we were there. So that's where we have been the last couple days.

Busy day today! I actaully had the day off work, which was a blessing because we got to help our neighbors move out. We sure will miss them! Tonight I worked again at CHick-fil-a. It was super busy! But it went ok.
Our first anniversary is Sunday! We have been married a whole year! The best year ever! We are making goals now of what we want to accomplish our second year. It's fun. I'm not the best at accomplishing goals, so I'll have to try extra hard.
I was super tired last night, that's why I didn't want to write a journal. Yesterday was a good day too though. I didn't really do a whole lot eccept for I babysat last night for our neighbors. Their kids are so very fun! They're so cute! We have the best nieghbors!
We'll be so sad when they leave!

Yesterday and today was great! You can read all about my trip on our home page. It was wonderful to see my family! Today I was back in the swing of things bright and early. I went to work today, and organized things and cleaned things. It was quite frustraying. I got to the point where I was sick of organizing and moving things. I had to move my shelves around and it was really hard, and it made me mad. I kept scraping myself, and pinching my finders and just hurting myself in various ways trying to put in the shelves. PLus I was tired from my trip. BUt tonight was better. I worked at Chick-fil-a and it was much better than I thought it would be.
Today was my first day working the register. I was nervous at first, but everyone was really nice and helped me with everything I needed, and it turned out to be good. It's a good place to work so far!

How great our God is! Today we went to church, then to the Fort Wayne Zoo with Noah and Maggie. Maggie I don't think appreciated it so much because she was asleep most of the time, but Noah loved it! He was so cute! Boy does he love his grandpa too! He always wanted to be with "Dampa." They're bussies. The message this morning in church was on having joy through trials, from James 1. It was a good church service. I appreciated the small congregation, and that it wasn't just the pastor preaching, but the congregation actually participated with questions and comments. It was a lot more personal than big churches are sometimes. Last night Alexis came over, and we all talked and played games until late at night. It was very fun! It was so great to see Maggie and Noah. I wish I could see them more.
Maybe next time I see them Noah will be able to say my name right! We had a birthday party for him last ngiht, and he got into the cake while nobody was watching. We found him digging into it with his hands. It was very cute! WE'll post pictures I'm sure in a couple days when I get back home!

I'm in Norton now with my parents! It's fun to be back home! I worked all day yesterday and then flew here, and got here about 11:30 last night. My flights were suprisingly good! On my first flight I didn't sit next to anyone, so I had more room, which is always nice! And on my second flight I had a conversation with a man about Eleuthera and I got to share a little with him about the Lord, so it ended up being a good flight. The sunset was beautiful from the plane too! It amazes me that God makes it beautiful even above the clouds! I wonder if it's that beautiful even when there's nobody flying up there to enjoy it. I bet it is. I bet loves to watch the sunsets He makes!
We are off to Indiana thismorning to visit Jeremy and Katiera. It took so long for me to fall asleep last night. When I turned off the light I realized how very quiet it was! It hasn't been that quiet for me in so long!
Ryan will be enjoying his day today working on material about the DaVinci Code. He'll have fun I'm sure. I wish that he could be here, but he has to work tomorrow. Hopefully he'll get a weekend of rest though.

Today was another busy day! Ryan worked all day, and I worked at school and then Chick-fil-a. Chick-fil-a was fun today. I'm still in training and I still feel very much like the new guy, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. When I got home I cleaned and made bread for Ryan and packed. He went to small group tonight. I wish I could have gone! Our small group is so wonderful! If you aren't in a small group of some kind, I would challenge you to join one or start one! The people in our small group have been such a blessing to us!

Wow, what a eventful few days it has been! Yesterday was the last day of Kindergarten, and graduation was last night. Graduation went well. It was a little stressful at times, but overall it was good. I miss my kids already! They were such a fun class! I am so proud of them! Today I had to take down all of the decorations in my room at school. It was kinda sad with no kids there, and the year coming to an end. I worked all morning and afternoon at school. Ryan came and took me out to lunch though! I have a busy schedule this week, so it was extra good to spend time with him!
Right after work at school I went for my first day working at Chick-fil-a, and I worked there until 10. It went well, although I hate not knowing what I am doing, so training is hard for me. I would rather just know how to do everything. But I am learning, and everyone there is very nice, so I think it will be a good place to work.
I'm super tired now, and I have a long day again tomorrow. I can't wait to climb into my warm comfy bed!

Happy Birthday to Ryan! He has had a great birthday! He deserves it! He's the best! Today has been a super busy day for me! Tomorrow will be even busier!
Right now Ryan is watching a debate about the DaVinci Code. He's very interested in that right now, so if you have any questions about it, he's the one to ask!

Happy Mother's Day to all of the Mothers reading this! Especially our mothers, who are the best ever!
Today was a fun day for us! I got Ryan a breadmaker for his birthday, and I am making him a loaf of bread as I write this! We had lunch at A&W today.
We both remember going to the drive-in when we were kids! It was fun to have lunch there today! We even got frosty mugs, which was our favorite part!

Today was a very relaxing day! I needed a day off to have nothing scheduled. Even though I had no schedule, i still accomplished a lot. It was nice though to have time to think and spend some extra time in thought and prayer. Next week will be crazy! We have graduation on Tuesday, and I keep working at school throughout the week. I also start work in the evenings training at Chick-fil-a. And Friday I leave for my parents home for the weekend. I can't wait to see my family! It'll be the first time ever for me to see Maggie! Ryan has to work for the weekend though, so he won't be able to come with me, which will be sad. I sure will miss him!
Pray that this week, with Kindergarten, starting a new job, and traveling, goes well.

Today was a good day! We had our Banana Split Party in Kindergarten, which went very smooth I thought. It's wonderful to have lots of parent volunteers! It's always a little crazy and tiring to do parties in Kindergarten, but I think they're fun.
Tonight I am looking over the sea beans that I found in Eleuthera. I collect them when I go there. There's only one beach that has them, and the currents carry sea beans from all over the world that wash up on that shore.
It's so fun! There are legends about the different beans, and they're so pretty! There's so many different kinds too! I love to imagine where they came from and how they got there. I imagine that they were swallowed by a big fish, and got stuck to a jelleyfish, and landed on a sea turtle's shell and it carried them to far away places. I imagine that a traveling boat saw them floating and picked them up and took them on their voyage until they accidentally dropped it back in the water and it continued on it's way to Eleuthera. Maybe someday I'll write a kid's book about one!
Today, i am happy to say, is a milestone in Ryan's year! He is now finished with his semester in school! He finished all of his finals, and now he can relax (a little). He has worked so hard this semester! And his birthday is Monday, so send him a birthday wish!

There are only three more days of Kindergarten. I feel exhausted! We are busy getting ready for evrything for graduation, and I am fighting off some cold or something, and I have other stuff that I have to get done. So that about wraps up today, exhausting! But, on a good note, we got our postcards done to ship out to all of our supporters, so we can start raising more support. And I have decided to take the day off Saturday to rest. So I'll let you now that goes.....

Our trip to Eleuthera was wonderful! Thank you for praying for us! We definilty could tell that people were praying! The Lord gave us tons of opportunities to spend with a lot of different people, and we had some great conversations! We spent a lot of time talking to the other missionaries about the ministry there and what we'll be doing and stuff like that. It was hard to come back to Dallas. But we know that Lord has big plans for us the next couple of years here. I have been so busy since we got back that I haven't even had time to process all that happened in Eleuthera.
It was good to see my Kindergarteners again! I missed them! They all made me papers that said "I love you Mrs. Flunker and I miss you". It made me smile. There is so much to do before next Tuesday, which is the kindergarten graduation, complete with caps and gowns and a musical. We have been practicing the musical everyday in class. I can't wait to see it!

Its been a great trip so far, we've got to see so many friends, and Ryan got to work all day on the hill - which he of course loved.
Tonight is the graduation for the pastors so we're busy setting up for that... its so wonderful to be back - it feels like home.
That's all for now since we're so busy setting everything up for tonight, I'll try to write more later.

Tomorrow we are off to Eleuthera! We are so excited to see everyone! Going there feels like going home. It's now 11:00 p.m. and we just finished packing. Now we just have to wake up at 4:00 and we'll be set for the long day of travel. Pray for us!
I will miss my Kindergarteners while I'm gone. They all want me to bring them sea shells back. I'll have fun searching for them on the beach to bring back to them.
Tonight we went on a date. Ryan finished his work for the day, and we decided to go out. Being married is the best!
Thanks for your prayers! We're so excited about going to Eleuthera! Everyday we long to be there. It will be a good trip this time as we'll hopefully learn a lot more about how much support we need to raise and other things we'll need to know. I'm sure you'll get to hear all about it when we get back!

I love the month of May! So many fun things happen in May! Birthdays, Anniversaries, Graduations, and so much more! Plus this May we get to go to Eleuthera, and I get to go visit my family! I'm so very excited!
Last night we had a progress report meeting at church, and we got to share about Eleuthera! They prayed for us, and it was amazing to see how God is already providing people to pray for us and support us, who believe in our ministry.
It was a huge blessing for us!
