Today was great! I got to swing and slide down the slides at school, and decorate my room and listen to Christmas music with my kids! And it might snow tomorrow, and I got to go to a town meeting dor Frisco tonight and sit by a lady from a CHick-fil-a, so we had lots to talk about. And I got to talk to my brother! It was great! I love talking to my brother! He is very encouraging! And my favorite part of the day was coming home to Ryan!

He has been working all day on school work. He is better from his cold too! Thanks for praying! Now you can pray that we don't have school tomorrow. Texas gets a little crazy when the temperature falls below 40, they cancel everything. It's nice though to have school off for it! It would sure be nice to have a day to sleep in!

Today in Kindergarten we decorated the classroom! It was very fun! Ryan is still sick, please continue to pray for him. And please pray that I don't get sick too. My goal for tonight is to go to bed early!

Well, our apartment is empty now, and we miss our family. They left this afternoon. We had such a good time with them! Yesterday we went to the Arboretum and walked around and took lots of pictures, and then we went to the Ball, otherwise known as Reunion Tower. It's a big revolving tower with a ball at the top. We went for dessert last night. It's a beautiful view from the top at night! Kari left thismorning, and mom and dad left thisafternoon after church. It was fun to have them there for church! Then we went to La Hacienda for lunch, which is a Mexican restraunt that's very Texan.

Ryan is sick, so please pray for him. He has a bad cold. He's taking tomorrow off work and he has a ton of school work to finish up on. THese next few weeks until Christmas will be super busy for us both! We are anxiously awaiting Christmas break!

Today was a full day! Ryan and his dad went to church today to work, and the girls slept in a little and went shopping. I took them to see my classroom, and I set off the alarm and it turned into a big ordeal. It's kinda funny now to think about! They got to see my classroom though, but they had to see it with a loud alarm going off so it wasn't the most pleasant!

We went to Central Market, and to the mall, and then we met the guys up at church. Tonight we all went to feed the homeless downtown Dallas. It was a humbling experience for us all. Ryan goes every week, but this was my first time. Pray for a girl named Angel. She's homeless and pregnant. Her baby is due in two weeks. She's scared. We got to pray for her tonight. I hope I get the chance to see her again next week.

Tonight we also got to decorate for Christmas! We put up our Christmas tree! It's so wonderful to have a tree! Also, another blessing, our friends had their baby thisafternoon! Congradulations to Jon and Jamie! Baby Mason was born today!

Happy Thanksgiving! Boy did we have a feast today! Ryan made a wonderful dinner for us, with ALL the fixings! We had enough food for a dozen people! It was great! And my chocolate pie turned out great! We have so very much to be thankful for! It's so easy to think of what we're thankful for on Thanksgiving. Really though, every day God blesses us with so very much! Today we went out and played in the "park" across the street in the sunshine. I'm sure Ryan will put pictures online for you to see the great football game. Flunker Family Fun Day is great!

We also got to rest and watch "Cars" today! It all around was a great day! I missed my family though, I wish they could be here with us. It sure was nice to have the Flunkers here though!

Today I slept in, and I finished cleaning, and then Ryan's mom and dad and sister came! It's so great to have family here! We had a little struggle picking them up from the airport, but they are here safely now, and it's wonderful! We made pies tonight too! So fun!

What a great day we had! We both had to work today, but then after work we went to do a little Christmas shopping, and then we stopped for a date! We went to a place called Ghatti Town, which is a lot like Chuckey Cheeses.

They have a pizza buffet and they played "Over the Hedge" on the big screen while we ate, and there were tons of games! We got to do the bumper cars, which was a favorite of mine! We also played video games, like a game where we shoot sharks in the ocean, and one where we shot dinosaurs! I get very into the games. We both had lots of fun! We did the game where you pound on the stump with a big hammer and it tells how hard you hit it. Ryan is super strong! I didn't do so good, but it sure was fun! And we got to play air hocky! I love that game! It was a fun date!

Then I came home and cleaned, and or friend Pete is in town and he came over to visit for a while. We had fun talking to him! It's always fun to see friends that we don't get to see often.

We had the best weekend in a long time! We went to our small groups
leaders' lake cabin and had so very much fun and got lots of rest! It was so so wonderful! And I got the BEST night's sleep that I can remember two nights in a row! I was so cozy!! It was wonderful to wake up and go out to the dock and see the beauty of God's creation in the sunrise and mist on the water.

Ryan was already fishing when I woke up. He fished a lot, which is the best for him! I got to fish too, and I caught one! We got to go out in a paddle boat too, and have a campfire outside and look at the stars and sit inside by the cozy fireplace too! We had such a good time with our friends, and we got to know all of them better! I love having girl time and just getting to talk and laugh with girls. It was great! We had a big breakfast and dinner all together, like a family!

God gave us such a huge blessing in this weekend! I'm so thankful that He put the people in our small group in our lives! We all needed this weekend! God gave us rest and relxation, and fun and refreshment in our lives. There's something about nature, and about relationships, that God uses in our lives to bring us so much closer to Himself. Ryan and I are so thankful for this weekend. God is so very good to us!

I'm pretty sure that Winnie the Pooh was written on a day like today! It's definitley blistery, blustery! So very windy! It's great! We went outside in the cold for a while today for recess, until it started to rain that is.

It was so fun to play in the wind! And then when it started raining we got to come into the gym and play "Cougar in the Middle." It's where the kids run from one side to the other while me and the other teacher try to tag them, then if they get tagged they become cougars too. One poor little girl is so very afraid of cougars that she cried and cried when we said we were the cougars. She wouldn't play. I have to find out how to get her to not be afraid. It's my goal!

Yesterday we received a huge blessing! The mom of one of my kindergarteners bought Ryan and I a Christmas tree, and everything to decorate it with! And she bought one for our classroom at school and lot of decorations! I love Christmas, the whole time of year, and it's so special to have our first tree! I'm so excited to decorate! It is such a blessing! - Another way God has provided for us! He is so very good!

This is a busy week, again I should say. It seems like it's been busy for a while I guess. Anyways, tomorrow is my only day to plan for Thursday and the weekend because we will be gone on a retreat this weekend. It will hopefully be a much needed time of rest for us!

Today I got to sleep in a little, and then I ran errands, went grocery shopping, cleaned, and went to a baby shower! Ryan had a basketball game this morning and then went to Frisco to help out with some stuff for a friend. It was a pretty relaxing day, although I am ready to spend time with my husband. We've just been so busy this week!

Today was a full day! In school on the playground I played with my kids, which was very fun! Although I have to say that the playground isn't really sized for adults too well! I hit my head!

Tonight I worked for a Chick-fil-a grand opening in Rowlett. I got to go to a high school football game and pass out coupons for sandwiches! It was very fun, but very cold! I didn't realize it was gonna be so cold and I didn't have a coat! Ryan is doing his ministry to the homeless tonight.

Tonight i had Bible Study with the girls in my apartment building. We are talking about the characters of God right now. I love thinking of all of the ways that God has been faithful in my life, and knowing that He always will be!

We bought the movie “Cars” tonight and had a mini movie night. It was so wonderful! That movie is so funny! If you have not seen it, you should. Today was a pretty good day for us both. We are looking forward to the weekend, although still no rest seems to be in sight.

Ryan had fun today looking at Mercury as it passed the sun. You can read all about it on the home page I think.

Have you ever gotten mad in traffic? Well today I got VERY mad at this black truck in front of me! I was sick and late for my doctor's appointment. This dumb black truck in front of me was going to slow and boy was I mad, and then to make it worse, every time I changed lanes, it but right in front of me, four times! I was about to run right into it on purpose! I even called it names (it's a good thing the person couldn't hear me!) Well, about the fourth time it cut in front of me I realized that it was Ryan! He was coming home early from work to meet me and be with me at the doctor! I thought he was still at work! Boy did I laugh when I saw his face in the mirror! Here he was trying to take care of me and make my day better and I was so mad at him! It was very funny!

What started out as a rough day actually ended up being a blessing. I am still sick, and I slept in this morning. But Ryan got to come home early from church today and spend the rest of the day with me. So we got to take naps and be together the rest of the day! And tonight we went out with some friends to eat. A friend of Ryan’s from Wisconsin, Deb Gerard, was in town and she took us and another couple to dinner! It was a very encouraging time, great to be with friends! It was wonderful to hear all about how the Lord is working in all of their lives!

Pray that we get rest tonight, and that I get over being sick! I am sick of coughing!

Well, I've been sick all day. My poor lungs are filled and I woke up choking. So our plans for today didn't happen. We were upset about that.

But we both did get to sleep today. I think the Lord knew we needed to sleep. Pray that I get better. i am sick of being sick! It's no fun!

This week has been so very much better than last week! I feel prayers being answered on my behalf, thank you. I have a great deal more patience and joy this week. School has been fun too. My Kindergarteners are learning to read whole words now and tell time, and they are SO excited about it! They get so excited when they can read a whole word or setnence even! It's then funnest thing to watch! I love it when they are excited about learning!

And the Book Fair is this week in school too, which is fun! We got to go today as a class and look at all of the books! If you don't know already, I love children's books and I collect them.
It's getting colder here!
