For almost all of July Micah and I have been in the United States! Yeah! Most of our trip has been in Ohio with my parents, but we took a week and went with my sister-in-law and her kids to North Carolina to visit my Uncle Mike and Aunt Susan.
We have been having tons of fun! Micah has been spending lots of time with his cousins playing outside, riding bikes, and exploring. They have a “tree house” behind the garage that they play in. It makes me so happy to see Micah playing in the yard like I did when I was little. It brings back lots of memories. Micah has been in a phase where he wants to win everything, and everything to him is a race! It causes problems sometimes, but it’s been a good opportunity to teach him about how to act when you win and lose… hopefully someday it will sink it. He has developed into more of a leader. He wants to lead wherever he goes. I think someday he’ll be a great leader! It’s a big responsibility though to be the one to teach a born leader how to lead God’s way. I need prayers!
Micah has gotten to play on playgrounds, and we went to two zoos, and he has loved playing in playlands. He plays with my dad’s Christmas train every day! He loves it! And Micah got to go to VBS at church too, which he loved! His teacher said he is a great kid (I agree) and that he did a great job at VBS. He also has loved going to Sunday School and I have to say that I have loved going to church! I have also gotten to see some great friends! Micah has loved playing with PaPa and Grammy (mom and dad).
North Carolina was a great! The kids all did great on the car trip! They watched DVDs pretty much the whole time! And once we got there it was nothing but fun! Uncle Mike and Aunt Susan got lots of fun things like bikes and baseball mits and even a pool for the kids! Everyone had tons of fun playing in the pool and having water fights! We also went to the zoo, and the park, and Micah went fishing with Uncle Mike and Noah! We went to see Ice Age 3 also! We had a great week! All the kids love Uncle Mike and Aunt Susan! They also had fun sleeping in rooms next to each other! They snuck out every night to play and jump on each other’s beds! Sneaky little ones! I am glad that someday they will have those memories to talk about!
We also had the chance to spend a few days with the Pfeister family! We had a picnic, and today we got the little ones together and went to a place called the Nature Realm for a hike and a picnic! We also took Micah and my cousin’s little boy, Xavier, on a real train ride! We had a great time! They both love trains so much!
The Lord has given us a great trip so far! We miss Ryan and home a lot though. We will be in the States for a few more weeks, in Ohio and Wisconsin. We are excited to see what the Lord has in store for August! I have had a refreshing and encouraging trip so far! I am thankful that the Lord has taken good care of all of us this month!
