Micah can write his name now, and he does it without asking sometimes. He’s so great! He also sang “Jesus loves the little children” all day, which made my heart happy! And, today was a favorite day of the year because I got to decorate for Christmas! I love unwrapping all the Christmas ornaments and decorations and listening to Christmas music while I decorate! Micah helped decorate the tree this year too, which was a lot of fun. I let him pick out his yearly ornament, which he chose a train. It’s cute!
Tonight we went to Tippy’s again with some Hatian friends from the church that Ryan is going to preach at Sunday. They are such neat people! We had a lot of fun! Micah even met some new friends! I need to learn Creol though!

Today was a full day! Happy Thanksgiving! It was a great Thanksgiving! Sandy and Averil came skipped school to help me cook and watch the parade! I was very glad for their help! For dinner our friends Harry and Michelle, Dale, and Julius and Robin joined us and we had a great dinner, complete with turkey pudding cups! We have so much to be thankful for! It was a great year! Micah had tons of fun playing with his friends and we had fun sharing our dinner with our friends. It’s fun to introduce American Thanksgiving to people from other countries! One of them had never had cranberries before, and i am proud to say that he loved them! And there are little things, like putting sugar in corn, that we don’t do, that Bahamians do. My turkey turned out great too! It was even done early! I was afraid that it wouldn’t get done because it was a little frozen in the morning, but it turned out great! I was reminded how gracious and good God is today by something someone said. I was so worried about my turkey being “pretty”, that I forgot to even thank God for giving us a turkey. Some people have never even seen a whole turkey, or anything close to the big feast that we had. I am thankful for God providing everything we need and more. I am thankful for Agape flights and the wonderful people who donated a lot of our Thanksgiving food – it was a huge blessing! We have so much to be thankful for! I had fun showing Sandy and Averil the Macy’s THanksgiving Day parade!

Today Micah called himself Micer. It was so funny! Bahamians say “er” instead of “a” a lot of times, so Micah gets called “Micer” a lot. I have to admit that it drives me nuts! But it was funny when Micah called himself that! Poor Micah has been having potty accidents a lot this week. Today he made it to the potty but he refused to pull his undies down without help, and he couldn’t hold it and went in his underwear. I was very frustrated! I told him that he needs to do it himself (he does everyday! I don’t know why all of a sudden he wants help!) To my surprise, he cried and said “you’re right!” I didn’t expect him to say that! I said “what?!” He said it again..”you’re right mommy!” It broke my heart! He’s such a good little boy! I love him so much!

Today was such a great day! I love days that we get to spend with the students where there is no normal teaching and we just get to hang out with them and get to know them! This morning the boys had a basketball game for the tournament and they did such a great job! They won their game! Yeah! They had another games planned for the evening so we all came back to the school for lunch and practice and a little rest. But then, it started to rain. The good thing about it was that I got to hang out with a girl, Clishae, who is in some of my classes. We watched a movie and i taught her how to make earrings. It was fun to get to know her! The evening game ended up getting canceled but that was ok. We ended the tournament with a win and that was good! We made pizza for everyone remaining on campus. I am very thankful for the Lord providing everything we need. As I was driving a van full of boys to the basketball game today I was thanking the Lord for providing the van we were driving! He’s so good!

I taught Micah to say “What’s Shakin, Bacon?!” It’s very cute and makes me laugh every time he says it! He and I made cookies today. He did a great job “kneading” the cookie dough and playing in the flour! He’s also getting good at cracking eggs!
The boys basketball team played in a tournament today. They lost, but they played very well and they had great attitudes! I was really proud of them! Ryan is a great coach!
Tonight we went to Wymss Bight for Ryan to teach a seminar on preaching. He did a great job, and it was great to catch up with our friends up south! MIcah fell asleep on the ride there and slept the whole time at church! It was great!

Ryan had a rough day today. In fact, the only thing that kept him going throughout the day was a sandwich i had made him for breakfast. He didn’t have time to eat it though in the morning, so it sat on the counter all day. Then I finally threw it away because it had been sitting out all day. Aparently though Ryan looked forward to eating the sandwich all day and he was very upset when he discovered that i threw it away. I told him that I would make him a new one, but he wanted that one, so much in fact that he tried to dig it out of the trash. He picked it up and was going to eat even though it was sitting on Micah’s dirty Pull-up from the night before!!!! I stopped him and talked him down from insanity! Poor guy!

We had church early this morning because there was a funeral in the afternoon. Church went well, and Micah ended up staying with our neighbors who were watching Micah’s friends too. They built a tent and had lots of fun while we were at church. Ryan went to the funeral in the afternoon. The man who died, Charles Sands, was a great man of God. He was a preacher at a church and a dear friend to us and many many others!

We went on a family adventure today around campus. We found lots of fun nature things, including a beautiful caterpillar! I went to a wedding with Tammy this morning too! And tonight we had dinner at Robin and Julius’s house. We had a great day! It was fun to have dinner with our friends! And Micah loved playing at their house too! We’re thankful for all the friends the Lord has put in our lives this year! Micah has trouble saying “Javanna”, he calls her “Savannah” or “J-Savannah” It’s cute! He also says “gabloon” for “balloon”! I love little words that he says so innocently now!

Tammy is the hero of today! She came to watch Micah while RYan and I attended the fundraising banquet for Windermere. It turned out to be a great evening! Ryan ended up playing piano for most of the evening. I loved hearing him play! We raised a lot of money for the school. We need a lot more though! I think God has great plans for Windermere and I’m excited that we get to be part of it!

November is flying by so quickly!!!! We have all been sick for most of the month. Micah is better but still coughing at night, and I am better, but Ryan is sick now. Despite all of us being sick though its been a really good month! We have been super busy, but we have enjoyed great family time too. I think my favorite time of the day is family cuddle time after dinner every night! Micah loves it too!
Today Micah and I went to the airport to get our mail. our Turkey came! Thank you to Agape flights and many families who donated turkeys for Thanksgiving! After the airport I went with Micah’s class to the Library. We had a fun time. I love watching Micah interact with other kids! His best friend at school this year is a little girl names Stephanie. He was talking to her today and he was sweetly telling her that she needed to say she was saying sorry for pushing. She said “I’m sorry” in this sweet little voice. It was super cute! Micah is way more well behaved at school than it home! His teacher somehow gets him to stay still and stand in a line. I need to learn her secret I think! It was fun to watch him sing songs and say nursery rhymes that I didn’t even know he knew. It was a fun time! After the library we came home and Micah had a nap and then we spent time going through his preschool workbook and working on the computer. He is getting good at using the mouse to play games. And he loves doing his workbook! I had a great day spending time with him. I have been busy lately and I decided that today I would take the whole day to spend with him, no housework or school work or other ministries. We had a great day! I can’t wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas and all the fun crafts to do and books to read!
It’s been cooler and windy lately, it’s sooooo great! I love the weather here in November! There was a scorpion under our shoes today, which I didn’t like so much, but that’s ok. God has been so good and gracious and merciful to us! I’m thankful!

So we have been through a couple weeks of sickness in the family. Micah was sick for a long time, and now I am sick. I have been sick for about a week now, but today is the worst so far. My throat and ears hurt so bad! I finally started taking some antibiotics that we have have, and I am hoping to feel better soon. Right now though, I feel miserable!
On a brighter note, it’s November! We always have things to praise the Lord for! It’s getting cooler here! And Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming soon! Yeah!
