Arf took a bath last night in a mug full of marshmallows. Must be fun to be an elf! Today was a good day. I had so much fun going North to get our mail! And we had our girls Bible Study today too. I love my time with those ladies! We celebrated Melissa’s birthday at lunch too. I am so thankful to have her here! After lunch Lisett helped me finish the wreaths for the Christmas concert. I am also so thankful for her! I couldn’t have done the wreaths without her! I am so glad to have them done!!!!!!!!!! That takes off so much stress!

Lisett and I made five wreaths for the Christmas concert next week. I am glad to have them done, only two more big wreaths and we will be completely done! Yeah! It was fun to make them, but I have to say that the tule almost got the best of me! Arf was playing in the tule and hung himself upside down and got stuck. It took Micah a while to find him.

Today was the first appearance of our Elf on the Shelf, ARF. Micah named him last year. This morning he was playing with Micah’s cars. I had to move him though because Levi wanted to play with the cars and Micah was very afraid he would touch him. I told him that it’s ok for adults to touch him, just not kids, so we moved him to to the shelf for the day. I had a great day watching Levi. He’s such a good baby! We went to church and he sat perfectly on my lap the whole time until he fell asleep. Then after church we had a Thanksgiving Celebration with the whole church which was really fun. Tonight after Levi left I decorated the Christmas tree. I love decorating the tree!!!!! I love seeing all the ornaments and thinking of all the memories of them. And it’s so peaceful to sit at night with the lights from the tree.

I started decorating for Christmas finally! Yeah! I had a fun day. Not only did I get to decorate, but Lisett and Dale went to Nassau so I get to watch Levi for the weekend. I love having a baby around and MIcah is soooooo well behaved! He’s so grown up and helps me with everything! It’s so great! He’s just being so good!

Micah had a Thanksgiving Christmas program at school today. He had a part “and then I thought “Oh, wait, I know! what I’m thankful for is Y-O-U!”” He did a GREAT job! And his class sang “All things bright and beautiful” which explains him singing it in bed the other night. He made me so proud! He’s such a great singer! He did however, get in trouble in the middle of the other classes performance because he was trying to put his nose in his friend’s ear =)

Happy Thanksgiving! We had a GREAT day! I woke up at 5:30 this morning too excited to sleep any longer. I watched the parade and cooked all day, and tonight we had a houseful of friends over (I’ll let you read the article for more info) It was such a blessing. We missed being with our families, but we are so thankful that the Lord has given us such awesome friends here! The turkey even turned out delicious! And the pinata that LIsett made was the “hit” of the night! HaHa! We have so very much to thank the Lord for!

Tonight Micah was randomly singing “All things bright and beautiful” in bed. Who knew he knew that song????? It was super cute though! He is still wearing his headband from where he hurt his head. He wore it to school. But I think he’s ok, hopefully tomorrow it can come off.

Every once in a while God gives us those days that are bad, but they made me so thankful that the Lord takes such great care of us! Micah hurt his head today. After school I walked to the house and saw a teenager carrying MIcah and Micah’s head was dripping with blood everywhere. I was terrified. I didn’t know what happened or if it was bad or even where the blood was coming from. I praise the Lord that Mrs. Schragg was still on campus. She cleaned it up and checked it. He evidentally fell off a swing backwards and hit his head on a rock or something. Mrs. Schragg said we could choose to get a few stitches or not, the cut was pretty deep. We chose not too though, hoping and praying that it would heal ok. The rest of the evening I sat with Micah on the couch holding a rag to his head and cuddling him and checking for concussions. By the end of the night though he was laughing a little. I think he’s going to be ok. I am just so thankful that the Lord takes such good care of us! So thankful! Tonight he has his head wrapped all up to stop the blood from getting on his pillow. I doubt I will sleep much tonight.

Nights like tonight are so great! Micah and I built a tent in the living room from sheets, and laid down pillows and blankets and watched Madagascar 3. We are pizza and danced! We had a great time! It was one of those times that I wish I had a camera in my head to take a picture so I could go back to that night whenever I wanted. It was really fun! And this morning Micah woke me up early saying he had something to show me. He took me outside and showed me the “upset” which i what he called the “sunset” which was really the “sunrise”. He was so happy to show me the sunrise! It made me smile! I am so thankful to have such a sweet little boy! God is so good!

Today was a little tough. We miss Ryan. And I had bad allergies and a sinus headache today, so I didn’t feel too well. I had to take a nap in the middle of the day. We started Spiritual Emphasis Week today, which went really good. It is fun to be able to be a part of it this year.
Micah came home from school today with a bad attitude. We had to have a really long talk about having a good attitude, being respectful, and saying kind things. He was saying “you cross me up!” to me when he was mad at me. He was like a little gangster! Oh man………it was then that I realized I need to spend even more time in prayers and reading God’s Word as i try to raise him!

We had to drop Ryan to the airport this morning. Micah cried the whole way back. It was a rough day for us. Micah also wasn’t feeling well, so I kept him from school and he hung out with me for the day, which made teaching a little stressful. So not only was Micah sick, but he also was missing Ryan all day. It was tough. Mrs. Schragg said something to me today though that really made me think. She asked me if I was doing ok with Ryan being gone. I said I was missing him, and she said “it really makes you think how you should pray for those women who have lost their husbands and are lonely everyday.” She’s right, this week I am praying for someone, someone who i have never met but God knows, who needs prayers because she has lost her husband. I am thankful for Ryan. He’s the best husband EVER! I am so blessed to have him!
Tonight Lisett came over and we made jewelry. She’s so talented and taught me how to make some new things. We had lots of fun! It’s fun to have someone to make jewelry with! I am thankful for the friends God gave me in Eleuthera!
