Another great day! All the schools were canceled today because of the rain, so we rested and cuddled all day! It was chilly and rainy all day again…perfect! Here’s hoping for another day like today, tomorrow! =)

Today was a great day! It was chilly and rainy all day! After church we came home and got in our cozies all bundled up and watched a movie and had hot chocolate and popcorn and Ryan made doughnuts. We cuddled and rested the whole day! Thank you Lord for days like today!

So Ryan and Micah both discovered that “Winnie the Pooh” sounds like “Winnie the Poo” and they both think it is hilarious! Yes, both of them! Since then Micah has been watching a few Winnie the Pooh movies and he always randomly says “Poo!” and starts laughing. Those are my boys! I love them!
Ryan went to the Training Center’s Graduation today and had a great time. Micah and I stayed home and cleaned and tried to get some rest. It was a good day!

Today was the big parade day! All the schools were in a big parade from Sunset Restaurant to the park in Governors. It was a rally to stop child abuse. I went with Micah’s class in the back of a truck instead of walking all the way with all the way. We figured it would be a long ways to walk with all those little ones! We had fun though! The kids yelled hi and waved to everyone! And Micah’s class came second in the banner contest! They didn’t stay for the rally though, which is a good thing because it was looooong! All the Windermere students went too though and it was a long afternoon, but they went home when it was done. They placed in the banner competition too!
While we were waiting for a bus to take the last of the kids home Micah had fun teaching them all. He made them all sit and he stood in front of them and he was their teacher for a long time! I think he’s so much like Ryan! They are both great teachers!

I spent the day with Sandy today. She didn’t have school so she was able to come down north with me to the airport to pick up our mail from Agape. We stopped by the store, and then went to Tarpum Bay to finally turn in Micah’s school papers. This morning we had his last doctors appointment, which was good because this time he didn’t have to get any shots. It’s nice to have all the paperwork done! Sandy and I are studying the book of Esther now, and I really love it! And, we are going to take a mini missions trip in a few weeks to pass out dresses with scripture. I’m really excited about that! we did Bible study with our friends in JC tonight too. I made a cheesecake yesterday, and it was a hit!

Ryan and I walked into the house today during break from school, and there was a bird in our house!!!!! We don’t know how it got in there. We opened both doors though, and Ryan chased it out the door and onto freedom. It was funny! Micah rode his bike a lot today.
When he can’t ride it outside he rides it inside, around and around and around again! He tied a belt to it and attached a basket for his trailer. He pulls doggie around for rides! Ryan took the boys to church tonight, and they said they enjoyed it. I could tell that they weren’t just saying that too! They usually tell the truth about things like that. But everyone came back happy! I like the students here!

The day started out rough for us, we had to go to the clinic for another shot for Micah, after waiting in the waiting room for 2 1/2 hours. I was thankful that there were some of MIcah’s friends there for him to play with. BUt it was still a long time! And I HATE to have to have him get shots! It’s the worst! After that I came back and did lunch then went with Micah to ride his bike for a while, then I came back and cleaned the house for a long time. I left the mess last night so there was a lot to clean, but it’s done! Hooray! I have had lots of energy today. It’s been a good week! I just feel like singing and dancing and praising the Lord! He’s so good to us!

Today was the best day!!!!! Happy Birthday to my sweet precious energetic little 4 year old!!!!!!!!!!! The day started out with his choice of breakfast, fruit! And we let him open his presents from Papa and Grammy, Uncle Mike and Aunt Susan, Aunt Barb, and Bob and Laura Johnson first thing when he woke up. He had so much fun opening his presents! I’m so thankful we have so many people that love our little boy! We also gave him our old camera that we actually forgot we had until a few days ago. He took pictures all day!!!!! I took him to school after that and headed to the store to pick up balloons. Then I had a class to teach and then I went back to his school for his party. I had made treat bags and cupcakes yesterday, and the party was a lot of fun! We played balloon games and had races with spoons with eggs on them. Some of the kids had trouble with the concept, but they had fun! Micah took pictures most of the time and had so much fun! After his party we came home and started to prepare for the evening festivities. Our friends, the Fox Family, came early to visit, which was so much fun! Micah loved playing with the kids and we had fun catching up with friends! I made a monkey cake, which then turned into a dog cake. Micah liked it so that was all that mattered. And I made pizza for everyone. Dale, Lissett, and Levi, and Julius, Javannah, and Javion came over for the party too. The kids ran and ran and had lots of fun! My goal for the day was to just be peaceful and not be rushed. I prayed a lot that the Lord would just let me enjoy the day and not worry about making everything perfect. I love to throw parties, but sometimes I get too caught up in making everything perfect that I miss things. I wanted to just enjoy the precious gift the Lord gave me in Micah and watch him have fun. The Lord allowed me to do that today. It was a great day! We measured him today. He is 42 1/2 inches tall and 39 pounds! He is growing so big!
After everyone left, we gave him the last present from us, a bike! He loves it! I love seeing his face light up when he opens presents! This one was especially fun!

Today was a busy day! I took Micah to the doctor today for what was supposed to be the last check-up for his school forms, but after waiting two hours they still weren’t done, and when I went back in the afternoon they said he has to come back next week and get a shot. I hate going to the clinic! I went to teach classes at school after that, but then had to leave to take Tag to the vet. He had to get shots too. The wait was long at the vet, but I love waiting at the vet because there are so many palm trees and the wind blows through them and it’s just so peaceful! I also got to meet a few new interesting people and had some fun conversations! I picked up Micah after we went to the vet and ran a few more errands, then me and him went to Rock Sound to the grocery store. Micah now is allowed to push the cart around, and he does a great job being careful and going slow. He did great until the check-out line. It was then that he decided to throw a huge fit! He actually laid down on the floor and kicked a screamed!!! It was the worst fit in a long time! I had to take him out of the store and spank him and he came back in and apologized to the people that work there. I was hoping that he had grown out of fits like that. He hadn’t thrown one like that in a long time. Well, lets hope this one is the last! At least on the way home we had a good conversation again about sin and emotions and how God wants us to handle our emotions. It’s hard being three!

Today was a sad day for Micah. He got stung by a “sting” for the first time, at school. He said he cried. It made me sad that I wasn’t there to hold him! He’s a brave little boy though.

Today is just not my day! It was a super early morning to take the team to the airport. Micah did NOT want to get up! He screamed and cried all the way to Rock Sound. Then after MiMi left he cried more! Then I had to drop off the can to the shop to get it fixed in Point, but I forgot the keys to the truck, so i had to go back to Sound to get the keys, ten back to Point to drop the van, then to Governors to drop Micah, then the truck wouldn’t start!!!!! So someone had to bam on the starter with a crow car to get it to start!!!! I got back to school late. And I can’t talk well because I have a cold either. And the day kept being rough. Poor Micah just wanted to go back home and go to sleep. On the way home Micah said he was having a rough day too, so both of us went through a list of lots of things we are thankful for. We should praise God even on our bad days!
There was actually a super funny part of the day though! On the way from the Ocean Hole to the airport this morning, we passed a store called “In Da Hole” Steve and Rita thought it was funny because that’s what it would be in the Upper Penninsula. They were saying it with a accent from the U.P. and someone said “that’s the way it would be in the U.P, “In Da Hole”” Micah burst out laughing!!!!!!!! He thought it was soooo funny! Which of course made us all laugh! We thought though that he was laughing at the accent, but then he said “You pee in da hole!” Hahaha! He thought he said that! It was so funny!

Church this morning was in Tarpum Bay. Micah and I went for a walk half way through and played at the school. It was fun! We swung on the swings, and he conquered his fear of sliding down the slide by himself. I love it when he is afraid to do something, but then God gives him the courage and then he can’t stop doing it! It took a while for him to build the courage, but then I couldn’t get to stop sliding! It was so much fun! After church we had a quick meal and went to the beach. We snorkled for a while and had pizza for dinner! It’s sad that today is their last day! We will miss them!

Today I actually accomplished something! My goal for the week was to work on the landscaping around our house. Ryan’s mom and I got the front done, yeah! She was a great help! And, fun news, I discovered that we have a guava, avocado, sour sop, and mango tree! I can’t wait for them to produce fruit! We went back to Ten Bay after all the work. They were able to finish all the work they set out to do on the shed too! It’s been a great week! Steve and Rita are a huge blessing! They are hard workers, and they are easy to please! They are helpful and thankful! I made my first cheesecake, and it turned out good!

Friday already! Where did the time go?????? We did Easter baskets today! MiMi hid them all around, and we had lots of fun finding them! They got lots of work done today on the shed. Micah still wasn’t feeling well. He took a long nap, so hopefully he gets better soon! It was a cloudy day, not good for the beach, which was sad, but they at least got to work in the afternoon and it was cooler for them.

Sad day today, we had to take PaPa to the airport. Micah misses him already! We all do! The morning was busy after we dropped him off, and in the afternoon we headed up to North Airport to get the mail, and we stopped to Preachers Cave and the bridge. And we stopped a while at Big Beach to swim. Poor Micah was sick though and had a rough time. He didn’t even want to play at the beach. It was sad. Other than Micah being sick though it was a good day of exploring!

Today was our only whole day with both Papa and Mimi, so we had a mini early birthday celebrating for Micah! They got his his own workbench! It has its own tools and wood and nails and screws and even a vice! Micah loves it! I made a carrot cake for him, but he only wanted the icing, and popcorn! The rest of us enjoyed the cake! We went to Ten Bay today too after the work day, and they had a fun day of snorkeling while Micah and I played Pirates! They were able to get lots of work done on the shed too!

MiMi got here today! Micah was soooo excited! he has been looking forward to her coming. I spent the day mostly cleaning and cooking. It was a good day. Is fun to have her here, and Steve and Rita too, a couple from their church who came to help out for the week. Ryan and his dad built us a grill which I’m really excited about. They are fixing lots of things and making things for our house, it’s great! We had an Easter egg hunt with Micah and Javannah and Javian and Levi this morning. They had a fun time. Micah had a hard night though, he went to bed early because he wasn’t feeling good and he was extra tired and grumpy. Poor little guy, it’s nice to Mimi here though!

Last night poor little Micah got sick and threw up. He had a temperature a didn’t feel good at all. It was a long night, but today he was feeling better. He still took a long nap though and you could tell that he didn’t feel completely normal. I think he is getting a cold though. We took it easy today.

He is Risen! Happy Easter! It’s been a very happy Easter actually! First, we had an Easter Egg hunt for Micah and he found all the Resurrection Eggs. Then we told the Easter Story from the Bible and went through all the eggs. He found his basket too, and then we showed him the sand box outside. He was sooooo excited! He has spent every minute he can all day in the sand box since then! We went to church this morning and Micah was better behaved than usual. And, before church I took a shower and the water was warm!!!!!!! They fixed the hot water heated yesterday, and even though the hot water only trickles still, it’s hotter, so you can mix it with the cold and it’s warm!!!!!! This is a great thing! Praise the Lord! I made a big dinner for us today, my first ham! It turned out great! And I made PInterest bread that also came out great! Micah took a long nap this afternoon. It’s been a great Easter! I love hearing Micah tell the Easter story! I’m so thankful that Jesus rose from the grave! I have spent the day wondering what it was like to have been there. I wonder if people knew that something was different when Jesus rose from the dead. I can’t wait to ask Him someday when we are resurrected too!

The boys went to the beach today and I got a few hours to relax! It was really nice! Ryan and his dad did more work on the shed this morning too, and they built Micah a sandbox that they are going to show him tomorrow. He will be so excited! Micah has been staying up late every night since PaPa got here, and he has been teaching him all about tractors. Micah knows all the kinds of tractors now! And they have been watching the sunrise in the mornings and he has been teaching him the directions, north, south, east , and west.

Happy Birthday to my Brother! I miss him lots!
So last night a four boys overdosed on drugs here at school and we had to take them to the clinic. Why do things like this happen always at night? We were up super late! The boys went home with their parents, everyone was alright. And one boy will go home in the morning. It’s very sad to see kids you love go through this! We are praying for them a lot! God has us in a good place!
I am officially on Spring Break! Hooray! Today was my last day of classes! I worked with Ryan’s dad today emptying the tool shed. I am tired now!

So I just realized that officially for the last few days Micah has been potty trained! He has been daytime potty trained for a long time now, but now he doesn’t wear Pull-Ups at night either! It’s so great! He has accidents some times, but he’s getting better. And, he hasn’t slept with his blankie for three days now! It has been in the wash, and I have been leaving it hang on the line for a while and he hasn’t even noticed until today, and then he wanted it back, but we talked about how it’s a baby blanket and now he’s a big boy, and he picked a special place in his room to put it and it’s working so far! These are some big strides for him!
And, fun news! PaPa Flunker is here! We picked him up at the airport this afternoon! Micah was soooooo excited! It’ll be a fun week with him here!

Today started out so great! We had a dance party in our kitchen! Micah and I danced all morning, and Ryan joined us when he got back from breakfast. It was so great! I love dancing! There is a song called “Let’s Dance” from Press Play, NY2LA. It’s our new dancing song! Micah likes to dance in a circle around me, then I dance in a circle around him, then I pick him up and spin him in a circle! It’s great! On the way to school this morning he was singing the songs on the radio. He picks them up really well! He’s getting to the age where he’s starting to pay more attention to the radio. It’s so great to hear him sing praise songs!
