What a great Halloween! MIcah was the cutest pumpkin ever! We took him to Spanish Wells to go Trick-or-treating. Candi and Shaina took us around in their buggie to houses. Micah quickly learned that if he walked up to houses he got treats, and he loved every minute of it! He would walk right into houses! It was a precious time for us!

Today was a interesting day. It was mostly a good day, except poor Tag had to be sent back to Nassau on the boat. He’s not feeling well at all, and he hasn’t really moved at all in two days or eaten anything. Poor Tag! Micah and I took a rushed trip up to Spanish Wells to get him on the boat in time. Then on the way back we stopped to pick up sticks by the bridge. Micah found a stick he liked and pretended it was a sword all the way home, when he wasn’t trying to eat it. I read at school today too to the kids. It’s fun to get to rad pumpkin books. They at least know what pumpkins are here even though they don’t have orange ones, and they at least know that leaves in other parts of the world change color and fall even ifthey don’t here.
And, big news!!!!!!!!!!! They are paving the road in the north! All of Upper Bogue iss paved already! It’s funny, there’s a sign that says “Slow Men Working” and someone wrote “drive” in front of it just incase anyone gets confused and thinks that the men who are working are slow. They even paved over the hole that they had stuck a tree into so nobody falls into it. I love driving up north! When you are coming back and cross the bridge there’s a tiny sign that someone put up on a tree that says “You made it – Yea!” It makes me smile everytime! Everytime we come to the bridge Micah says “Wow!” because I said it once when we crossed the bridge, and now he thinks you say it every time. I love it!
Last night Ryan decided, against my will, that we should switch sides of the bed and maybe we would sleep better. He stole my blanket, pillow, and my side of the bed. I of course slept terrible again, but he, for the first time in a looong time, slept good! So now I have to sleep on the wrong side of the bed again! I guess if I can’t sleep on anyside it doesn’t make a difference huh?

This week has been a good one. It’s amazing the difference in my life when I get to go to church! My heart is so much more focused on the Lord throughout the week! Dave Hawkins came in Monday and is teaching Old Testament this week and next. It’s fun to have a neighbor again! Micah loves him! Classes are going great! There’s even a new student. Tonight as I write this Micah and I are at class, Micah is in his pack and play in the teachers lounge.
Micah’s pumpkin outfit is almost done! It’s very cute!
This week I spent some time with LaDonna and the new girl at the camp. We went to run errands one day, and we’re hoping to bake some cookies together soon! =) The kids were out of school this week, so I didn’t tutor Wayne or go to the school to read. Even without the normal routine this week I have stayed busy!
Wednesday I went to pick up the mail and got a package from my parents, with a book and my contacts, and a package from Alexis!!! It had a coloring book, and crayons, and candy corn, and pumkin cupcake cups, and leaves!!!! It makes my whole week to get mail!
Micah is a year and a half today! My little boy is growing up! He’s 28 pounds and 33 1/8 inches tall! I taught him to hold up his finger to say that he’s one year old today. And he now knows where his head, belly, eyes, nose, mouth, ears, and feet are! And my favorite trick is still “Show me your muscles!” I gave him a haircut today too. He’s super cute!

We went to Spanish Wells again this week for church. They are having a missions conference this week. It was a great service! I wish we could go all week! And, Micah did better in the nursery this week. I stayed with him until he stopped crying and got his mind on something else, then he was fine, and he even made a friend! They had lunch after the service so we stayed for that, and the Thompsons were there too so it was fun to catch up with them. Tonight we went on another walk, last one for a while with classes starting. It was a great week!

There was a cool breeze again today, and Micah and I walked to the school this morning. Then Ryan and I and Micah walked into JC again tonight! Perfect day for walks! That was over 4 miles of walking for me today! It was great though. We get to talk to so many people when we go for walks! And it’s a good chance for Ryan and I to talk too! I read at the school today too, which was so fun! I haven’t had the chance too many times to read this year, but I’m hoping to go more. I love it!

We picked up Tag today!!! It’s so great to have him back! The poor little thing though doesn’t look to good. He can’t walk on his little leg yet and you can tell he doesn’t feel good.
Tonight I worked on Micah’s Halloween costume! He’s going to be the cutest pumpkin!!! And it was a great day for a walk, so we all went for a walk. We have been taking walks a lot this week. There’s a cool breeze! It’s WONDERFUL!!!

This morning Ryan preached at Windermere and Micah and I went too. Micah had fun playing with some coconuts and running all around during Ryan’s preaching! The bell scared him though and he ran right into my arms. I hate that he gets scared of things, but it feels so good when he runs to me! I think that’s how God must feel!
After that we visited the clinic again and then headed to Rock sound for groceries, and to the airport. And we went to visit one of the students, Rose, in Rock Sound. She has a wonderful house by the shore and collects sea things and makes things out of them! It was so fun to spend time with her! I love to find things along the shore too! It was another fun family day! Tomorrow Tag gets to come home!!! Hooray!
My neck is hurting today. I can hardly turn it.

We had fun family time today paying bills, going to the clinic and the police station for our residency papers, and getting groceries! And tonight for Bible Study we did makeovers. It was very fun and gives open opportunities to talk about inner beauty and lots of issues that girls are facing. It was a good night!

Today is Discovery Day! Ryan and I took the day off. We relaxed a little, and we went for a fun walk tonight and let Micah play on the beach for a while. Tomorrow will be a busy day for us. So tonight we are going to relax more!

We went to Spanish Wells for church this morning. It was GREAT! I got to put Micah in the nursery and stay for the church service! Of course, they said that Micah cried the whole time, poor little guy! The service was really good though, it was about the body of Christ working together. And they sang “Grace Alone” which a friend sang at our wedding. It was a really encouraging morning! When we got home I took a short nap with Micah and then we all went to the Weinberbers house for a party, complete with conch fritters, cracked conch, and fresh lobster! Micah had so much playing with all the other kids, Ryan fixed another computer, and we had a great time with lots of friends! Micah had 4 conch fritters too, which I think is a favorite for him!

My husband is so selfless! Today he took Bitty and i to the Harbor Island Regatta. we had a fun time watching the boats! And the marching band from Nassau was there playing too! It was fun to watch Micah watch everything. He says “boh” when he sees boats. It’s cute! Ryan didn’t complain even once either! He’s so great! Then though, our car broke down when we were up there, and Bitty and I had to take a taxi home while Ryan fixed the car. Again though, Ryan didn’t complain at all! It was a fun day, breakdown and all!
Micah is so precious! When he takes something he knows he’s not supposed to have, he runs as fast as he can straight to his bean bag, and jumps face first into it and lays there, holding up whatever he took behind him.
Ryan had a rough night Thursday night. He took some Tylenol PM because he still hasn’t been sleeping. It made his heart beat really fast all night though and his arms ad legs were numb. So he ended up literally not sleeping at all that night, and didn’t sleep until 9 the next morning. He’s better now, but now we know that he shouldn’t take Tylenol PM!

Another great day! This afternoon I went to lunch with Tammy and LaDonna to the Laghing Lizard. We had a fun time of fellowship! Micah loves that place because he gets to explore and play the whole time. After that LaDonna came over for a while and hung out while she worked on internet stuff. Here the internet and electricity are unpredictable! Our electric has been going out a lot lately!
I baked some bread today, and tonight Ryan and I watched The Office where Jim and Pam got married! It was my favorite one!

I got so much done today! THismorning I went to the North Airport to pick up our mail. WE got a box from Ryan’s mom! She got me some material to make Micah’s Halloween outfit! He’s going to be a pumkpin! And of course there were some healthy treats in the box too! I love getting boxes! Micah and I sopped at the store on the way back and did some grocery shopping. And then i cleaned the rest of the day, and made a pie for Ryan. And I made phone calls that had to be made, and replied to a few e-mails. Then tonight I made the hat for Micah’s costume! He’s going to be the cutest pumpkin in the patch!
This week Micah decided that he wants to be a big boy and eat at the table in a normal chair like us, so he takes it upon himself to climb up in the chair when it’s meal time. I think I need to get him a booster seat though because he thinks he’s bigger than he is! It’s very cute! I finally cut out his evening bottle too, which was sad for me because the only time he lets me hold him is when he’s getting a bottle. Now he just gets a sippy of milk in the evening. BUt I’m holding onto the morning bottle for a while. I need a little cuddle time with him!

Today was a great day! I did tutoring with Wayne today which went good. He’s doing a great job learning everything! And after that we got to talk to Matt and Sukey!!!!!! We haven’t gotten to talk to them since they moved to Africa and we miss them dearly! We talked for about an hour and a half, and it just encouraged our hearts so much to be able to share with them and prayer together again.
Micah and I went to Governors today too and then tonight I had Bible Study with my girls. It went really well! The girls are having fun with the book we are going through. There were more girls there tonight than I expected too. The Lord has really been blessing Ryan and I’s ministries here! It’s really encouraging!

Tonight was Monday night football, Packers vs. Vikings and Brett Farve….it wasn’t the best game and now Ryan is depressed. Other than that though it was a good day. Ryan went tonight to a prayer meeting in Hatchett Bay at a church where some of our alumni attend. He said it was great and I am hoping to go next time. Today is our friend Tammy’s birthday, so I made her brownies and took them to her and spent some time there and went around to a few other homes in our settlement. And Micah and I had a fun day playing.

Today was the BEST day! We went on a family date thisafternoon to Navy Beach. We played in the water, built a sand crab, walked along the shore, and dug out a pool in the sand for Micah to play in. It was very fun! After that we climbed a tree and all went for a walk. It was a great family day! Tonight I went to Rainbow for a while too to hang out with a few families who were conch hunting. I got to talk to some ladies and get to know the new lady from the Methodist Camp. It was fun!

Ryan and I have not been sleeping good for a while now. For some reason, neither of us can sleep! Not even nap, and I love naps! We are not tired at night so we end up not going to bed until really late, and then once we’re in bed we can’t fall asleep, and when we finally do fall asleep it’s not a good night’s sleep, and then of course Micah wakes up early, so there goes any chance of sleeping in! Anyways, last night, when i wasn’t sleeping, I laid there for the longest time just thinking about how the Lord never changes. He never changes. He’s steady. I can rely on Him to be faithful to His Word. I had a peace that I have not had in that way, knowing that my God never changes. I change, and the world changes, and situations change, but God doesn’t. He never leaves me or forsakes me.
I haven’t figured out yet why Ryan and I can’t sleep, in fact, it is late tonight and once again, neither of us are tired. Well, I’m tired, but I can’t sleep. There are lots of exciting things coming up, and lots of unknowns about our future, but nothing that we are stressed about or anything, so who knows! For now, I think I will just lay here and think more about the Lord. Goodnight!

Finally!!!!! October! Fall is officially here!!!….well, in spirit anyways. It’s still super hot here, but at least it’s not as bad as summer. If only we can get it to fall belong 85 degrees!
I decorated for Fall today though and it was so great! I put leaves and my little scarecrows, and fake pumpkins (the pumpkins on this island are not orange). And I have a few fall candles, so I lit them and filled the house with the scent of fall! It’s so great! Micah loves the leaves around and had fun exploring today too. It was a great day!
