Well I haven’t done so well the last few weeks with my journal, which I regret. There have been lots of good moments, specially with Micah! He is so fun! Tonight we read “The Cat in the Hat” and it was fun to have him read some of the words. He’s doing great! He is doing a great job with school things in general. He does his best at all his papers, and he always comes home having learned new things. Today he started saying the Pledge to the Bible! And he said a prayer in church that I never knew he knew “God is great, God is good……..” It was cute! Of corse he also yelled out the ABC song when he was supposed to be singing another song in church. It made us laugh! Ryan has been preaching a lot in church lately, and he does a great job! Today was PTA and it has been a little more of a stressful weekend with some issues with a few students, but we are happy that the weekend is finished and the Lord has been faithful and good as always! PTA went well and Ryan did the message at that too.
There is a sign when you enter Windermere with a blue marlin and a flamingo on it, and when Micah passes it he says “that sign means “watch out for blue marlins and pink flamingos!”” Then he pretends to keep an eye out for them and occasionally even spots one =)
School has been good. I have been spending a lot of time with my 5th graders just trying to teach them to be organized. I think it is helping! I love teaching them because they have 7 more years of school to grow and learn, and I pray that we set a good foundation for them.
We finished out the basketball season this week. I have been trying to get the stains out of the jerseys since then! The boys finished strong, still without a win, but they have grown so much this season and I am really proud of how they have learned to play as a team and not to think only of themselves. I am looking forward to next season already! Maybe I will have all the stains out by then =)
I have been running and walking every morning, and I started doing P90X in the evenings, which I really am enjoying! I like having a schedule and I feel like things are going well. And, I am excited about February! We have lots of things going on in February! It’s my favorite month! God has been good this month! It has been a good start to the year. Even this weekend when things seemed rough for a few days, we got to see His faithfulness! I’m glad God has us here! I am humbled that He would use us!

We had basketball games at school today against Central. Both the boys and the girls lost but they did a great job! I am proud of them! I love being the coach’s wife! I get to buy apples and oranges and take pictures and be the “mom”. I do not, however, life to wash all of their uniforms. Yuck! They are gross! It was fun to watch the games though! Micah had tons of fun with the kids, and in the middle of the game he came down to me and kissed my cheek and left again. It made my heart happy! I have such a great little boy!

Ryan took the boys to JC today to practice basketball. He said it went good! I picked Micah up a little late today from school because we had to drop the bus to Tarpum Bay. I almost didn’t take Micah to school because he wasn’t feeling well this morning, and I wasn’t either. We are both feeling a little better though. He has a cough, but he had a good day.

Ryan moderated at church today for the first time. Micah and I stayed home though because I needed a break from church with Micah. He’s a great little boy but after last week I can’t take another Sunday in a row trying to keep Micah in a pew for two hours. Someday I will figure out how to. After church we played tennis! I am getting better!

Today was a really fun day! We played tennis this morning then went to Sky Beach for lunch, then tonight we went to a birthday party. It was fr our friend Julius. We had a great time, and Micah had lots of fun playing with Javannah! They played so good for hours! I actually wondered if anything was wrong with them at some points! They were just playing nicely though. We played UNO and had a great dinner and cupcakes. I am so thankful that the Lord gave us great friends here!

Last day of midterms! Yeah! And we started division with my 5th graders too, which was fun! I love Fridays. I don’t have snack shop in the evenings which is nice. I get to rest a little. I actually really like doing snack shop, but it’s nice to have a night off. This weekend will be a little lighter too because we only have one boy.
We started Yearbook today. Ryan and I are doing that this term instead of choir. I love working here. It’s so hard to be a teenager and I have gotten the chance to talk to lots of kids who are going through some tough times. Today I had the chance to encourage a few kids who were having a rough day. I pray that when I talk to kids the Lord speaks for me and that what I say leads them to know Him more. Hopefully something will stick! I love the kids here! I love helping them through life and showing them Jesus! I am so thankful that God has us here!

I planned to clean the whole house today while Micah was at school but I got an unexpected suprise which was way better! I got to spend the morning with Tammy. She and Wade are planning a Valentines weekend for married couples the weekend before Valentines and she asked me to help in the planning. I am really excited about it! There is nothing here that I have heard of to encourage married couples, and no organized “couple” things. The weekend will have dinner Friday and Saturday and we will have games and a pastor to give encouragement to the couples and will hopefully be a fun time of fellowshipping and learning and being reminded of biblical marriage and love. We made some practice invitations and I am going to make the desserts and help decorate and I am working on coming up with some games. It was fun to hang out with Tammy! Way better than cleaning! =)

It’s midterm week still. Most of them are going well. My 5th graders started adjectives today, which we had a lot of fun with! We played a silly sentence game and I don’t think I have laughed that hard in school ever! I love my 5th graders!

I got to spend the day with Micah today. We practiced numbers and made train tracks and went to the store and made brownie cupcakes, which didn’t turn out great. I told Micah this morning though that if he held on to the dollar that he had until the bread truck came he could buy a cupcake from them. He held his dollar in his pocket all morning checking lots to make sure it was still there, and when the truck came they didn’t have any cupcakes. But instead of throwing a fit and crying he just frowned for a minute then he was fine. I was proud of him, I knew he was disappointed, so we made cupcakes. Even though they didn’t turn out great, Micah loved them. We started two sticker charts today, one for keeping his pullups dry at night and one for dressing himself. He gets a prize when he finished each one. He’s doing great so far! Ryan and i are both feeling better too. And, the hummingbirds came back! So I filled my feeder today! That made me happy! I guess it’s spring? Maybe they just think it is. It sure was a short winter! Micah picked me a beautiful red hibiscus today too. He had fun running all around school and I’m sure interrupting lots of classes because he’s so noisy =) He’s a great little boy! I’m so thankful for him!

Poor Ryan is sick today. And I have been sneezing and had a runny nose all day. Micah keeps us smiling though! He got a new movie, Thomas the Train Misty Island Rescue, for Christmas, and he has been watching it over and over and playing with all his trains and even pretending his cars are on Misty Island. It’s super cute!
This is midterm week. My 5th graders did great on their exams today! I am very proud!

Today started out great with Micah and I playing power tools this morning! He was the contractor and he called me “sir”. We had a fun time! He’s so great! Then came church…..I am a big fan of church, but keeping Micah quiet for two hours is impossible!!!!! I had to take him out three times and the third time he threw a huge fit with kicking and screaming until church ended. I had no energy the rest of the day. And unfortunatly Ryan is sick now too. He has the cold that i had last week. Poor guy! We all took naps this afternoon and tonight i am busy working on school preparation. At least the day started out good right? And I think Ryan’s message was good today even though I didn’t get to hear it.

Tennis! We played tennis today! Ryan and I got tennis rackets fr Christmas and we finally got to play. I am not the best yet, but I love playing! Micah did a good job picking up the balls for about 5 minutes, then had fun running around. We all got some sun and had a great time! We spent lots of family time today, and even had ice cream! What a great day!
I have to say that I am praising the Lord every day for the wonderful weather and NO BUGS! No mosquitos and NO no-seeums! Horray! Praise the Lord! It’s so wonderful! Such a blessing!

School today went well. I am feeling a lot better. Ryan and I directed Choir last term and this term we are leading the Yearbook Committee! There is a small chance I might be the cheerleading coach too. Hmm, we’ll see what God has in store! It’s amazing how the Lord uses us!

Today I had planned to send Micah to school but plans changed and Ryan, Micah, and I ended up going North to the airport and to run some errands there. We got more Christmas cards in the mail too! I love getting Christmas cards! We had a great time! I never get sick of driving north! And spending time with my family! Sandy came over today too, and we listened to a Beth Moore broadcast for our study. It was some great advice for young women!

Today was crazy! I have had asthma since I got back here, and I finally knew I had to get some medicine. The Lord is definitly with me because I finally got some medicine after going to the clinic twice and calling the States. I’m so thankful for the prayers of God’s children. At times like this I know people are praying! God is taking good care of us! I am already feeling a little better! I did have to miss some of my classes today though for runs to the clinic.
Tonight turned out restful. It’s really cold (in the low 60s) and church was canceled because it’s too cold =) so Ryan didn’t have to teach tonight. So we are resting. I’m so thankful for the little blessings the Lord gives us!

Today was another great day of travel! Actually, it wasn’t even a whole day. Our plane left at 9:00 this morning and we walked off that plane and straight onto the next one in Florida. We almost missed it but Praise the Lord they waited for us! We got in about 2 I think and have spent the rest of the day unpacking and taking down Christmas things and cleaning. Micah already misses Papa and Grammy, and he said in the saddest little voice this afternoon, “I miss Anika and Noah and Maggie.”. It broke my heart. I’m so thankful though for the time we get to spend with them. I love that he knows his cousins and loves them!
We got our dog back today too! Yeah!

Happy New Year! We are ready for 2012! God has been so good to us and I’m so excited to see what He has in store for this year! The year started off great! Today we spoke in a class for church then came home and had a great dinner with everyone! Micah loves playing with his cousins! I love it! I also got to see Stephanie today which we so fun! I wish I had more time to spend with her though!
Tomorrow we head home. We will miss everyone, even “Snoodle” which is Micah’s name for Honey. It’s very cute! I don’t know where he got that name. I have been packing and doing laundry every extra minute I had today too. It is sad to go, but we are ready to get back and get normal life started again. We miss Eleuthera and all our friends there. And Micah needs a schedule again. We are so blessed!
