St. Martin is a beautiful island. During our last trip we didn’t spend much time touring or sightseeing, so we were carful not to make that same mistake this time. Although we could probably have spent more time driving around (that’s my bad, I always try to err on the side of caution) we did get to spend 1 day exploring one of the more scenic locations on the island that overlooks a spacious view of mountains, ocean, and the spread of the settlements.
One highlight of this location were the pigs that happened to be out rooting around for trash and grub as we drove past. We chased them down the hill a ways, and I kept trying to take their picture to little avail. The volcanic soil with a mix of limestone is rich with plant-life and flowers and very reminiscent of our experiences in the Bahamas.
Of the beauty of the sunsets we were able to view, none is more special than those which are shared with the ones you love. Emily and I thoroughly enjoyed this trip, and we are so thankful for the few of our continuing supporters for helping make these sustainable work-vacations a reality – as were are now very much part-time missionaries. We are also thankful to CMA for the retuned invitation to partner with them in teaching on the island. Most of all to our Lord, for the wonder of HIs creation and kindness to work out blessings in our lives as we experience the unfolding of His plan and purposes.
