February 11

February 8, 2011
Well, so much for writing a journal everyday!  Here’s at least an update though.  We got home from Ohio on February 1.  We had such a great trip!  It was long, but really good.  The last week there we had a great time hanging out with my family.  Micah got to spend lots of time with his cousins, and he loved every minute of it!  The day we flew home there was a snow storm and we were lucky to get back!  It worked out though that our plane was already at the airport and we were flying to Miami so there was no delay.  Praise the Lord!  When we got back Micah was sick for a day.  He threw up only once though but didn’t feel good the rest of the day.  It took about 5 days to get life back to normal here.  There was lot of unpacking and cleaning to do!  Micah went to school, and a fire truck came one day, which all the kids loved!  I went and took pictures and watched all the kids.  It was really fun!  It’s good to be back in ELeuthera.  The Lord is teaching us a lot right now.  Today was a good day! Ryan fixed our car, and I got a long walk on the beach, and we all went out for ice cream.  Tonight Ryan has class.  Our friend from Frisco, Jeff, is teaching this class.  It’s fun to have him here!

As for Micah, he’s growing fast.  He got his first real haircut when we were in Ohio.  My friend Stephanie cut it at her salon.  He did a great job sitting still!  He looks so grown up with his hair cut!  Today we cut the tip of his pacifier, which we call his “suckie”.  He did a great job though, way better than I thought he would!  He threw it in the trash because it was broken.  And we went out for ice cream. Tonight he went right to sleep.  He’s such a good little boy!  He is talking so much now!  He uses sentences a lot and surprises us all the time by saying things we didn’t even know he knew!  One day i put him in his car seat and he turned to me and said “thanks Babe!”  It was very funny!  He’s in a stage too where he repeats things over and over….and over and over and over again.  It’s cute but I have to admit that sometimes it drives me a little crazy.  THis week we started learning memory verses.  This week’s is “God created the heavens and the earth.”  He’s doing a good job learning it!  He loves to sing, and his favorite song is the ABCs.  He loves lot of songs though and mixes them up sometimes.  The other day he sang “Baby Jesus loves me this I know my ABCs!”  It was very cute!  The Packers won the Super Bowl Sunday so he wore his Packer outfit and yelled “Go Packers!” all day.  He’s just so wonderful!  The Lord is so good to us!
