So for the last few days Micah has been hitting me and poking me, not hard, but over and over. He will come up to me and poke my head or something like 5 times, then cock his head to the side and get a super sad, super cute look on his face and say “awwww sad…mommy hurt” then he kisses me. He just wants to kiss me so he hits me. It’s very cute! It’s a good thing he doesn’t really hit me though anymore! We’ve been having fun the last few days watching Christmas movie and reading Christmas books every night. Micah has done really good not touching the tree, although the first day was really hard for him. He loves to play with the nativity though! Right now every baby that he sees in books or anywhere else he thinks it’s baby Jesus. It’s cute.

We had three Thanksgivings this year. The day before Thanksgiving Ryan had to teach but Micah and I went to Mike and Shannans for dinner and they had lots of people over for a big Thanksgiving dinner Bahamain style. Then on Thanksgiving we made a big dinner which was donated to us by Agape. We took the whole dinner down to the little Haitian village in JC and shared all the food with all of them. We fed 30 people and had a fun time! Then yesterday for class everyone brought a dish and we had a big Bahamian style Thanksgiving with all the students from JC, complete with turkey, rice, curry, mac and cheese, lamb, and lots more! Now our Christmas tree is up and we’re ready to go home for Christmas in two weeks!

So I haven’t written in a few weeks. Hmmm, here’s a recap of what I missed….
Ryan is home from St. Maarten!!! Yeah! It’s so great to have him home! Last week we spent extra time as a family. Ryan and Micah built a fort out of blankets and furniture in our living room one day which was fun! They watched a movie in it and played trucks! Micah is sleeping so well in his toddler bed! He stays in it until we get him in the morning. Sometimes when he wakes up he’ll go get a toy and bring it back to bed and play with it too. It’s very cute! He has been sick for the last week. He has a cold and a few days he had a temperature. He coughs and coughs, it’s sad! He’s doing okay potty training. I haven’t been concentrating as much on it though since Ryan got back. Micah goes probably once a day in the potty. I need to focus more on it here soon. Today we took a walk together as a family. The weather is a little cooler, which is nice. We are excited to go back to see our families for Christmas! Hmm, what else from the last few weeks? I helped out at Micah’s school a few times. That was really fun! I really love his teachers! And it’s fun to see him in school with his friends.

Today was a good day for the most part. We changed our clocks back last night. For some reason Micah couldn’t sleep until after 10 last night (maybe from the two oranges he ate at homecoming!) and then he woke up a few times in the middle of the night too. Then he slept in very late this morning! I got up way before him for once! WE had a slow morning and then this afternoon we went to our friends house for lunch. ON the way there there was a group of people on the side of the road. Their bus had broken down and they were on their way to the airport. Their airplane was supposed to take off in 30 minutes. I loaded them all with their suitcases in the back of our truck and took them to the airport. I’m glad I got to help them! And, they gave me $20, which I didn’t actually agree to take but then they gave it to Micah. After that we went to the Fastzeskis for lunch. We had a great lunch with them, and Micah was being so good, and then he pushed over their lamp and broke it! I felt so very bad! I think Micah felt bad too. Ryan is preaching tonight in St Maarten. I am going to do my Bible study. This week each night I have been doing my Bible Study every night when Micah goes to bed. I’m still doing the Esther study by Beth Moore and I have to say that this week especially I have loved doing it! I look forward to it every night! It’s a great study!

Tonight we had so much fun! We went to Homecoming in Governors and Micah ran around and bounced in the bounce house with the other kids. He had so much fun! And Micah ate tons of conch fritters! He loves conch fritters and Wade and Tammy have a conch booth set up. And Micah got to see his teacher there too! We just had so much fun! We also went to the Library today for the first time. Micah had so much fun reading books! He pretty much just turned a few pages then went to put the book back and get another one, then he would go back to his seat, look at a few pages, then get up and put it back and start all over again, but he loved it!! And he did a great job being gentle and taking care of the books! I was nervous at first!

Micah loves Ryan! Today he held out his arms and said “give daddy hug?” It was the sweetest thing ever!!!!
Tonight I met with Sandy. We had a great time studying God’s Word!

Tag is just the BEST dog! He sits by me, or on me, and he licks Micah’s toes and makes him giggle! We have the best dog!
Micah had fun at school today, and I went to Agape and then to help the Special Needs school go to Governors for Homecoming. Then me and Micah have been hanging out since school. It’s storming now and the power will probably go off. I’m praying that it doesn’t. I think it’s supposed to storm most of the night. Micah did good going potty again today. And, he loves olives! Just like me! I figured that out tonight.
Since Ryan has been gone Micah keeps wanting to talk to him on Skype. He climbs up to the computer and just waits. Then I have to get him down and explain to him that he is at work. Then Micah explains to me that Daddy went to work on the big airplane (which he still calls an audi). We miss Ryan!

This morning I was in the office and I didn’t hear Micah making any noise in the living room, so I walked out and he had gotten down the candy corn jar again and was digging in…..that boy!
After that today was a great day (and I have to admit that even Micah getting into the candy jar made me smile)! We started potty training today! And Micah started his naps in his toddler bed today! Both went GREAT! He peed in the potty three times today!!!!! This is a huge milestone for him! He is very excited now to go potty because he gets to wash his hands in the sink and he gets a sticker and two M&Ms! My plan for today was to have him try to go every half hour, and he did it on the first try! He’s so great! He loves his Elmo stickers and he sticks them in his potty book. I’m just SOOOOO proud of him! And PRAISE THE LORD because I know that He’s the one who answered my prayers for Micah to get potty trained! It’s been much easier than I thought it would be!
And I measured Micah’s height and weight today since I forgot on his half birthday. He weighs 34 pounds and he is 38 inches tall! He’s getting so big!!
He also slept for his whole nap in his toddler bed this afternoon without even getting out of it at all! I’m just so proud!!!

So Micah is just being so cute today……………
We were dancing (to Gilmore Girls) today and he said to Tag, “Dance TagTag, dance! Dance TagTag, dance!” It was very funny!
And then he randomly started singing “this little light of mine” and doing the motions. He must have learned it at Preschool. It’s so fun!
