potty training is coming along!  Micah is doing a great job!  The day before yesterday we branched out and let Micah go to the school and the beach with no pull ups.  H kept his big boy undies dry!  Then yesterday I took him to the store and the school and he kept them dry all day!  He’s so great!  Today he decided that he wants to go potty I the big potty, hooray!  Praise the Lord!  What a great blessing!

Today was a rest day for us . Micah is actually not feeling well, he has a cold . It’s very sad.  He had a little fever at one point today . For the most part though he’s ok.  He’s busy playing and running even when his little nose is dripping.

One thing that Ryan and I always say to Micah is “you are my favorite little boy!”. Lately when we say that he smiles and says ” you are my favorite little boy too”. He knows he’s being silly and its so cute and precious!

Tonight we went for a walk along the beach in Tarpum bay.  There were so many shells!

The team left yesterday.  I was sad to see them leave.  W had such a fun and encouraging week with them here!  All week long Micah has been singing the bob the builder song.  It’s very cute!  He also had lots of song suggestions at Vbs including building up the temple, this little light of mine, ad Jesus loves me.  It was fun.

Micah has been crying a lot at night the past few nights.  I think he has bug bites that itch him and I have been giving him benedryl and he sleeps better, but for some reason last night he woke up crying all night and I never figured out why he was crying.  He would just say “but I want to go outside and play” or “but I want to go play with my toys!”.  He would say it though as he was half asleep and crying.  Rough night for us!  We’re praying tonight will go better. It’s so hot in our room though that may be another problem for him.  Poor little guy.

What a great day we had today!  Today was the teams day off and this morning we went to north side beach…..way down the beach, and swam and explored for the morning.  Micah had so much fun playing in the waves and making sand castles and digging holes with the girls on the team!

After the beach Micah and I went back to the little house and tried to take naps, which didn’t work, but at least we got some rest.  Te team went to Pams and the caves.  Poor Ryan fell and scraped his whole arm and leg pretty bad.  Te team had fun though. Tonight we went to wade and Tammys for dinner.  It was delicious!  Conch fritters and all!  The team had lots of fun getting to know the Weinburgers!  They are so wonderful!  On the way home I had a sweet time talking with Micah and cuddling.  We talked about all the things we are thankful to God for.  An Micah named lots of things that God made.  I as overwhelmed with how the Lord has blessed us!  I am so thankful that God has us where He does!  I love being a missionary!  And I love serving my family!  I am just so humbled that the Lord would be so good to me.  I for sure don’t derserve anything the Lord has given me or to be used by God in any way.  Yet for some reason, He loves me and gives me so much that I don’t deserve?

Tis week has flown by!  It’s been so great to have the grace church from norton and Frisco here!  They have been working hard at windermere every morning and we have been going to different beaches each afternoon.  Micah has loved going to the beach every day!  Pretty much this whole week we have been covered in sand sweat sunscreen and bug spray!  Lorry bitty has bug bites all over him and he itches at night.  H doesn’t mind other than then though because he’s having too much fun playing.  He has done very good being at Windermere. He already thinks he owns the place and he runs all around playing and exploring and pretending.  He has the best imagination!  And he has a few friends who are young kids on the teams that he likes to play with too, and wade and Tammy have been here this week so he has has fun playing with Wayne and wadania.  At Vbs in the evenings he plays with the younger kids.  He doesn’t join in with the groups to do what they are doing yet, but he drags other kids to the playground to play with him . We have had lots of kids, from about 53-80 each day from bannermantown, John miller, deep creek, and wymss bight.  My job has pretty much been to watch Micah but with him being a little older I have had the opportunity To share the gospel with one litle boy named Mateo.  He has trouble listening to the story time with the other kids (it’s a lively group!). So we talk during the bible story time all about the gospel.  It’s been good.  I love having teams here!  It’s exhausting at times with trying to do normal life and have teams, but it’s very worth it!  I love seeing how the team members are changed throughout the week and how the Lord works in and through them!

So……..I wrote that early this morning, and since then we have had a packed day!  It began when Micah was in the bathtub and I heard him yell, “mommy, there’s something in the bathtub!”. I went in to find that he had pooped everywhere in the tub!  He said “there’s a lizard in here!” to which I said ” no, that’s your poop!”. Well, turns out there was a lizard floating in the water too!   I was super gross, and took a long time to clean up!  Then, we went to the store, and when we went to leave I looked for my keys only to find that Micah had lost them somewhere in the store.  We looked and looked and so did everyone in the store for like a half an hour, and finally found them.  When we got back in the car a song came on the radio that began with the words “I lost my keys, in the great unknown…”. Ironic….. But the song was about how God uses all the things in our life for good.  It made me smile.  Even through the hard morning the Lord gave me the ability to laugh at everything that happened.    I had gotten him a ginger ale in the store because he said his tummy hurt, and on the way to the camp to pick up the mail he spilled his ginger ale all over him and the seat of the truck.  He’s a good little boy for sure!  We rushed back to have lunch with the team then came back to the house to rest a little because micah was grumpy.  Tonight was the last night of Vbs.  It went really well!  I love doing Vbs!  Micah got his face painted and got a balloon animal too!

Today micah picked a flower for me and brought it to me and kissed my hand, it was so very sweet!  My heart just melted!

The team that got here saturday has a little boy who is five and Micah loves to play with him!  I’m glad he has a friend!  Our friend fro mthe Ohio team brought presents for us and some from Grammy and papa!  Hooray!  We miss them!

Sunday was fathers day.  I didn’t have a phone though to call my dad and it made me very sad . He’s a great dad!  I wish I would get to spend today with him!  Ryan preached at church today in point at the brethren church.  H did a great job!  We ate dinner at the church with the team that was there.  And then that night we picked up the rest of the Ohio and Texas team.  There are sooo many bugs right now!  Poor Micah is getting eaten up!

Micah has a new phrase, “come on!”. We say that a lot and he has picked it up.  It’s very cute!  He also says “you are pretty mommy!” whenever I wear a dress or skirt. It melts my heart!

The Lord has provided so much for us!  Even when we almost run out of gas we find a station open!  and even after the giant centipede crawled on me at night Micah cuddled up close to me and it was worth it!

Our friend Leia visited Friday.  We had a fun time visiting with her.  She needs to move back here!

We saw a big water spout in rock sound the other day!  Now Micah thinks every cloud is a water spout.

My favorite part of the week so far….Micah randomly said “Jesus loves me!”.   I love hearing those words fro his little mouth!

Well, I had gone to sleep for the day, but I am now thinking that I won’t be able to sleep the whole night because just as i was falling asleep I felt something crawl on my hand. I looked to find a giant centipede It crawled super fast and Ryan ended p killing it with a plastic baseball bat. We currently don’t have our machete, so sad!

As for the rest of the day, I cut Micah’s hair. He’s very cute! we also went to Wymess Bight to see our friends and we ran lots of errands. Then Micah and I came back to the house and Ryan went and visited some friends. the power was out for about 4 hours today. Praise the Lord it’s back on!

So the baseball bat didn’t kill the centipede so Ryan found a knife and is now cutting it up, yuck!

Once the power came back on it went off again right when i laid down to sleep, and as i was laying there praying for the power to come back on Micah put his little head on my tummy and said “I just love you mommy.” It was a sweet moment that I would have missed if the power had not gone out and woken him up. Another example of God using what we think is a bad situation to be good to us!

We made it home!!!!! Yeah!!! We had an early start to our great day, at 2:50 am. Way too early if you ask me! But the Lord blessed us and brought us back to Eleuthera safely. Wade was waiting at the north airport for us and it was so great to see him! We spent a while with him and his family at their house before heading to Windermere. I sure missed them! On our way to Wndermere we had to stop for gas ($6 a gallon by the way) and the truck wouldn’t start again. Ryan spent a long time trying to fix it while I prayed that God would help him to fix it. As it turned out, it ended up being a great thing that it wouldn’t start for a longtime because we got to see so many friends and catch up with lots of people who the Lord brought our way. So after many conversations and hugs Ryan finally got around to fixing it and he did a great job! who knew that having your trucks battery not work would be such a blessing?! When we got to the school Ms Gibson took us to the house we will stay in for a few days. It’s a great little house! We call it “little house”. It’s perfect for us! We had dinner tonight at the other Rose Gibsons house. She is such a great cook and even better friend! we just had a great day! It’s so good to be home!!!!!

Micah has still been doing so great with his potty training! He is wearing Pull-ups when we go out or when he sleeps. But he does great when we are home and even asks sometimes to go when we are out. His friend Nicholas is potty training too and tonight we had a Potty Party for them! We got a cake and balloons and they played in the sprinkler for a long time! They had lots of fun! I have been discovering that Micah really likes playing with other kids. Wherever we are, he invites whatever kids that are there to play with him. He makes friends very easily. One day he was upset coming home from the gym because he couldn’t remember his friends names. We talked about making the goal to learn one friend’s name each day. I love it that we can have real conversations now! He is great playing by himself, but he gets so excited when he has friends to play with! He has been asking when school is going to start again. He wants to see all his friends from Eleuthera. He’s excited to go back! We all are!
OK, so I have not been god at keeping up with my journals, but I’m going to try to get back in the habit! Praying that I can!

VICTORY for Micah! Praise the Lord! The Lord has answered our prayers! We spent the day potty training again, and Micah went the whole day without going potty in his bog boy undies or his diaper! He did so great! By the end of the day he was going all by himself without me asking him if he needed to go or helping him at all! And he pooped in the potty too! He randomly said “mommy, stay on the couch”, and he went into the bathroom himself and sat down and pooped and peed and then yelled “mommy, I went poopies” He did it all himself! He also finished his whole potty chart and got his treasure chest! And since he pooped he got some pez. I am just so proud of him! He’s such a big boy! He has Thomas and Cars undies, and today he was excited to wear Percy undies all day today. He’s super cute in his undies!
Micah is ready to go home. He keeps saying that he wants to go home in the sky to Eleuthera. It’s very cute! We are all super excited to go home next week!

I still sing to Micah every night before our prayers, and I sing Jesus Loves Me and Twinkle Twinkle, which he calls “Finkle Finkle” It’s very cute!

I never let MIcah take his precious stuffed doggie, his favorite toy in the whole world that he sleeps with every night, anywhere because it would be terrible if we lost it. Well today I let him take him to Ikea, and when we were driving home I realized that we didn’t have it. My heart started racing and I turned around right away. Micah put him down somewhere in Ikea and left him there! I thought for sure that we had lost doggie forever! I prayed and prayed that we would ind doggie. We walked in and looked around and I found him!!!!! Someone had found him and put him under a cash register! Praise the Lord! It was a crisis, and the Lord came to the rescue!
