It’s been a long week. But it’s been a really great first week of school for all of us! Today was half day for Micah and he went to his friend Julian’s house until I was done with school. He had a great time! When we got home I laid down on the couch for a minute and fell riot asleep! I guess I was tired! I have been waking up every morning at 6:15 to walk with lisett. I am very proud of myself for waking up each morning early and keeping the house clean each day. The Lord definitely is the One helping through!

I valve Thursday’s off again this year so I can go north to pick up our mail. It was another early morning today. I ad fun driving to get the mail though, and we got a care package from our Frisco church! I am so thankful for them! I got to pick up the batteries and spray paint finally form the dock too, and by the time I got back home I had just enough time to give tag a haircut and bath, do the laundry, clean the porch, and do the dishes before picking up Micah. And tonight was the official launch of our new small group. It went great! We are having a student watch all the kids, and while it was a little bumpy at times, the kids did great. I am so thankful for the friends the Lord has given us here! I can’t wait to study the Word with them more this year and watch our relationships grow!

Wednesday’s are long days of teaching for me, no breaks and snack shop after school too. Ryan picked up Micah from school, which Micah loved!

School went great today. I got a new student who is actually older, who is a Haitian boy who will be staying in the dorms, but he doesn’t speak a lot of English. I will be working this year on teaching him English. I’m very ecxited about it. He’s so polite and so thankful that I am helping him. He kept thanking me all day! I am praying that not only will he learn English, but that he will learn about a the Lords love for him this year!

I took Micah and Javannah to school this morning and on the way in Sound we saw a pig walking down the road. The whole way after that to school the kids laughed and made up stories about the pig. We decided it was going to school too and first it was going to have pancakes for breakfast. Now I cant wait to read Micah “if you give a pig a pancake!”.

It was the first day of school for Windermere today and it went great! I have a great class! I love the 5th and 6th graders!

Today was Micah’s first day of Kindergarten. He started at Tarpum Bay Primary this morning. I was sad to drop him, but he was excited the whole way there. When we got there he was a little timid. He went right into his classroom and settled into his seat, but he sat quietly and just watched everything around him. His friends Javannah and Julian came and and he was glad to see them. It was a little chaotic with everyone coming in and a few kids crying. I just watched Micah for a while. Then there was an all school assembly. Micah stood quietly with the other kids the whole time. He didn’t do much singing though, I think he was still taking in everything. They sang the song “I will never suffa”, which brought back lots of memories! I was sad when i left, and I prayed for Micah during the drive. I am thankful that I know that he is in the Lord’s hands. I missed him 5 minutes after I dropped him and missed him all day. I couldn’t wait to pick him up, and I was glad when he saw me and ran to me and gave me a giant hug and yelled “mommy!” I’m glad he’s not to big to do that yet! He said he had a great day. He played on the playground, and colored, and he said he liked his new friends and his teachers. i am thankful!

As for me, I worked and ran errands all day getting ready for school to start tomorrow. I need more time I think! And Ryan has been even more busy and tonight is the start of the Bible School classes. They had all the students show up! We prayed about this for a long time and it’s fun to see the Lord working!

Church was good this morning. Ryan preached and Micah was good. Well, Micah was ok at least, only one spanking for him! We went to lunch after church and then Ryan has been working ever since! Micah whispered to me in church this morning “Mommy, when I am big and strong like Daddy I am still going to pick you flowers.” It melted my heart! I love my little boy! After lunch I cleaned and started work on my curriculum. It’s fun! And tonight Micah and I read books about Kindergarten and dreamed about what it will be like tomorrow for him. It was a sweet time with him. He’s really excited! I am a little sad to see him growing so fast though, but I’m glad he’s excited.

The last few weeks have been soooooo busy! I am excited for school to start so that life maybe can slow down! We have been working working working! LOTS of painting, which I hate to do! And lots of cleaning and organizing and planning. Lots of heavy lifting of boxes and tables and desks have made me sore. Long days have worn me out. BUT…..I am done painting, and my room is almost done, Melissa’s room is painted, and Ryan’s room is clean and decorated. So most of the hard stuff is done. Praise the LORD! It’s all worth the hard work. I am excited to see the students and excited to see what the Lord has in store for the school year. Oh, and the tool shed is complete, and it looks great! The Lord keeps providing! He’s soooo very good!
Today after my morning of finishing painting, we went to JC and Ryan mowed the lawn and we had Billy’s for lunch and went to Club Med to swim. Micah loved swimming in the ocean and making sand balls. We had a fun time together as a family before school starts! It was a good day!
