I cleaned all day today, which is not easy with a little 16 month old always wanting attention. I am tired.

Tonight we had a dinner for the other missionaries here, the Foxes. They are moving this weekend to Freeport. While we were down at the training center we were on the porch Ryan was trying to take a picture of Micah and Tristan. They were standing at the top of the stairs and somehow Micah fell. I just remember my heart stopping as I saw him rolling horizontal down the concrete steps. Ryan threw the camera and grabbed him. It was the scariest thing ever! Micah is a trooper though and only cried for about 30 seconds. Ryan took him on a walk and held him tight until he was better, which, with lots to look at outside, wasn’t long. Micah has scrapes on his head, belly, and legs though. Poor little guy! Praise the Lord he wasn’t hurt worse! That was the worst moment!! God takes good care of us, that’s for sure!

God gave us the most wonderful trip to Dallas this past week! He knew it was just what we needed! The plane rides back went well. I am so thankful for my family!

We’re back in Eleuthera now…our luggage is not…..but there is a scorpion somewhere in our bedroom that we can’t find…………horray!

Micah LOVES airplanes! This whole trip everytime he sees one he gets super excited and yells “aee! aee!” It’s very cute!

What a GREAT day! We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect last day here in Texas! I started out the day at Starbucks with a friend, Melissa, for coffee catching up. It was a very encouraging time for both of us, and it was a blessing to be able to share what the Lord has been doing in both of our lives. Church was wonderful thismorning! I got to put MIcah in the nursery! Hooray! He had fun with his friends! And we got to sit in church with the Newtons and the Turners, and Ryan and I, well Ryan really, spoke at the end of the services and they prayed for us. We got to go to Sunday School too, which was really funto see old friends! I loved seeing our church family! I miss having that! We really felt like we were home, like we had never left!

After church we went to LaHacienda with our small group, and split our favorite, the Sundance Fajitas! Then the Newtons watched Micah while Ryan and i did some last minute shopping and packed. Ryan spoke in church for the senior adult Sunday night service, and then I went to the Newtons and he played ball with some guys at church. Amy came over too and her and i and Natalie got to talk for a while. I just miss our friends so much! It was a huge blessing to be back in dallas!

I had planned to relax today, but ended up running last minute errands all day. Micah and i went all around while Ryan went to church for a missions retreat they were having. After my errands I attempted to put Micah down for a nap, but he wouldn’t sleep, and then we went to his friend Haley’s fourth birthday party! MIcah had so much fun with the other kids! And I had fun hanging out with Robert and Natalie and their friends and family!!!

Haley was all decked out in Hello Kitty, and they only picture i got of Haley and MIcah was one of Haley smiling as cute as can be and MIcah screaming because i put a party hat on him! Very cute!

Today was our family day! Of course though Ryan spent some of the day at church working, which again he loved! Then we went to visit DTS and some friends there. We got to see our friend Rachel, and our old neighbor Brent! We went to Northpark and got my ring cleaned, and we went to Chick-fil-a for lunch! It was so great to drive Downtown Dallas again. It was the best first home for us! There were lots of friends there we didn’t get to see, but it was a blessing to see the ones we did. We even stopped and got Steak and Shake shakes! When i was pregnant I craved their banana yogurt shakes! Let me tell you – he still loves them! One sip and all we heard from then on was “MA MA MA…” Which is “more” for him! We went shopping too together and it was just the best day! In the evening we went to our friends’ house, Jeff and CHandra. THey introduced us to a game “ticket to Ride” which we had so much fun playing! ANd Chandra made great fajitas! We love being back in Texas and having TExas food again! It was encouraging and so fun to be with our friends! This trip has just been the BEST!!!

We had a GREAT day! First thing this morning, early, micah woke up so we brought him in bed with us. He actually fell back asleep, which he never does! Then we all awoke again to the smell of bacon! Lorain and Elwood made us a huge wonderful breakfast! They are the most wonderful people! Ryan spent most of the day at church working. It was like he never left! He had so much fun being back! It was also the last day of one of the staff members, and a dear friend of ours, so we got to go to her going away lunch, which was very special for us. In the afternoon Micah took a nap and I swam for a while with the people we’re staying with and their daughter who is also a friend from church, Karen. When Micah woke up we went to the post office and then back to church where Ryan was still having so much fun working. Tonight was the best though as we got to spend the evening with our small group! It was like we had never left! It was fun to see their kids and a few had little babies that we had never even seen in person, so it was extra fun to get to see them! They will forever be family! We stayed until after midnight talking just like old times. It’s such a blessing to be with them again and be able to know we’re in a place where we can share and be ourselves and know we’re loved and be encouraged. This whole trip has felt like that for us! We miss it dearly!

Micah is a talker, still…he talks all the time. His favorite thing to say is oaoaoao….okay! over and over and over he will say that! I think his favorite word is “okay”. We also loves balls and every time he sees one he says “ba, ba, ba” over and over again! For some reason at church he’s afraid of the basketball court, he’ll only walk on the path around it, but he saw a ball that was in the middle so he just yelled “ba, ba, ba…” until I got it for him. He’s just so wonderful!

We are in Dallas! This is quite an unexpected trip, but it’s a huge blessing for us. Ryan has had an unbarable tooth ache for a few days and went to the dentist in Eleuthera. They don’t have an x-ray or anything though and she said he needed to go to the States. We were planning on visiting Dallas in December, but we decided to move up the trip since Ryan would have to come now anyways. The Lord worked out the timing and the trip perfectly. We needed to get away for a while and this is the perfect place to come! Today Ryan went to the dentist and two hours later came out brand new! His tooth is much better. He had an infection and the dentist had to redo his root canal. He had a bunch of abseses on his roots that the doctor had to remove. He’s feeling much better! We love our dentist in Dallas! Micah had fun playing with the toys in the dentists office too. They had a big dog that rocked and he had so much fun climbing on it and rocking! Thisafternoon we went to church and spent time there with all the staff. I have to say that it was so fun to feel like we were back with our church family. It was like we hadn’t even left! We are staying with a couple from church and they are the nicest people! They are a huge blessing too! So far the trip has been wonderful! Micah is adjusting to the time change and schedule change, and he’s having fun seeing all his friends!

This week was a whirlwind. It was actually he worst week since we’ve lived here, but on the other hand, the team that came was one of the best. Micah has been sick, and I still have my ear infection. Micah had a fever of 101.5, and he has wanted to do nothing but cuddle for a week and a half. While I love cuddling with him, I wish he would feel better. He also broke out on a rash towards the end of the week.

Back to the good part of the week, the team that was here was a team of b-ball players from UWGB. Kari brought them. I had so much fun getting to know them. They worked all week building/repairing houses. They are hard workers. It was not all work though, the team went to the caves, and we swam through them, which was soooo cool. We had adventures with bats swarming around us, and I’m pretty sure something tried to kill Katie and I in the water in the caves. We made jewelry one night, and had two games nights with the “draw a picture and die laughing” game, and the movie game. We also went to Sky Beach and swam and to Harbor island and swam at Valentines. I loved the team times with the team too. Ryan led them. This team was a blessing, a blessing we needed desperatly this week.

The team left today, and Ryan and Kari and i went to go see “Up” It was a good movie, but very sad! Bitty is feeling much better. We also went to Sky Beach for Katrina’s last day, and we had Bible Study. I’m tired….
