End of July Teams

Well, we’ve had 4 teams back to back, and we are exhausted. On top of all that we’ve finally moved into our new house. Its been a long journey, and after 3 months of living out of a suitcase we’ve discovered we have too much stuff!

And we couldn’t have made our move after a month of teams without the help of our last team from Union Baptist Church. They have been coming to the school for years and are deeply invested in the betterment and future of Windermere. It is clearly apparent that churches and teams such as these are an enormous blessing to our ministry.

Of all the teams, this one accomplished the most construction-wise. They didn’t devote any time towards outreach, for them they “outreach” was pouring every ounce of energy into renovation and renewal of the school grounds. Their primary goal was to renovate the school’s library. With years of lack of use for most volumes, the bookworms were not the students… they were literary worms!

Along with the library and helping us move the team also renovated the girl’s dorm apartment. Along with worms in the books, the entire countertop and cabinets had termites devouring them! After a week of handwork, it was like total-home-make-over! We are so thankful for these church teams that literarily come down simply to be a blessing to the school.

One of the best contributions this team made came from the shop-teacher that came down. Months ago Micah broke his tractor and after fixing it twice it just kept on breaking. After unpacking we found it again, and he provided a permanent fix for it – Micah is very happy.

We trust that God’s blessings are delivered to the many servants that came down over the past couple of weeks as they gave selflessly and served humbly. What’s most amazing is that no 1 person was able to accomplish all of it, but when everyone gave of the little they had, amazing things happened. Thank you, to everyone!
