Halloween – by Emily

This Halloween was great!  The day started with pancakes dyed and shaped to look like pumpkins!  Micah would only eat the stems though because he said the orange part was too silly to eat.  That made me laugh!

I gave him a little treat bag this morning with stickers and candy and finger puppets in it.  He was so excited!  He has been looking forward to this day for weeks!  For school I sent fall colored treats to his class.  I love being able to do festive things like that!

I praise the Lord for our Sunday School class in Texas who sent lots of Halloween goodies to make our day great!  Micah had a great day in school.  I know because after school he exclaimed “Mommy, I had a GREAT day today in school!”  I love it when he has a great day!  He was SUPER excited to go Trick-or-Treating after school!

We all drove up to Spanish Wells for the forth year in a row to go Trick-or-Treating with our good friends Donald and Candi.  They are such a blessing to us!  Micah was a monkey this year, which fit his personality great, because he is exactly like Curious George!

He had a blast yelling “Trick-or-Treat!” and getting lots of treats!  We were a little afraid he would be scared of some of the costumes, but he never got scared at all.  I think he understood that it was all pretend, and he had fun!

We had a great night as a family!  And Micah brought home a pillowcase full of candy, chips, juice, cookies, and $12!  His favorite treat of the night was a bottle of mini M&Ms that he cherished the whole time!  We have been waiting so long for Halloween, and the day after Halloween Micah woke up and said “Is it Halloween?”  I said “no, we have to wait a whole 365 days until Halloween again.”  He then said “Is it Christmas yet?”  I love how he loves holidays!  We always have so much to celebrate!
