Our Favorite Little Boy – by Emily

We got Micah’s Preschool Graduation pictures today. He looks sooooo grown up! I can’t even believe how old he looks! Back when I taught Kindergarten and my kids graduated, one of the mom’s said “I don’t know what happened…I blinked and he is already graduating Kindergarten!” That’s how I feel! I feel like he was born, then I blinked and he’s graduating Preschool! It makes me cherish my time with him even more! His actual graduation is not until June, but his pictures were too cute not to share until then!

It’s fun now that Micah can understand more and more and we can have conversations about things. He is going through a stage where he focuses on the bad instead of the good. We are working hard to try to teach him to always be thankful to the Lord and focus on the blessings that God gives him. And we started this week doing devotions in the morning. I have been wanting to do this for a long time, and I think now is a great time! Micah likes to read the Bible and he is able to understand concepts better. I love to listen to him pray! I am working on teaching him the Lord’s prayer.

Micah is still all boy! He still loves cars and trains and balls and his bike, and everything else boyish! I love it! He’s also very cuddly though! I am hanging onto all the cuddles I can get! I am hoping this summer to work on swimming with him. It’s hard for him here because there are to many waves to learn to swim in the ocean. He’s scared of the waves. I don’t blame him! I am praying though that the Lord gives him courage and that he understands that God can give him the courage and ability to swim.

We just feel so blessed to have such a sweet little boy! He keeps my on my knees for sure. I am amazed how the Lord protects him everyday! I think God has to watch little boys extra!
