I had planned on resting a little today, but that didn’t happen. It was however a good day! It rained all day, which I have to admit that I enjoy. The rain is nice. I went to my mom’s Bible study this morning. They are doing a Beth Moore Bible study on Deuteronomy. I miss doing Bible studies on groups like that, it was nice! And I went to lunch with Jeremy for some brother sister time to the Winking Lizard. I did have time to take a nap after that though which was super nice! And I am finally organized and feeling like life can get a little normal here in the next few days. Tomorrow my plan is to not do anything! Yeah! We’ll see…I have a to-do list. But I need to sit down and actually think about having a baby and get prepared!

Uncle Mike and Aunt Susan and Uncle Jimmy and Aunt ReRe had to leave last night, and Papa and Mimi had to leave today. Micah is sad to see everyone leave! This morning though Micah crashed from exhaustion. He woke up and didn’t feel well, and he just needed sleep. We went to Bob Evans with my parents and Papa and MiMi, and Micah slept the whole time. He felt better though after a little extra sleep which is good. I am looking forward to getting on a semi-regular schedule in the next few days hopefully. I had my doctor’s appointment today. Everything with baby is going well. They did another “real” glucose test which I thought was funny. And they set up my c-section for June 10th!!!!! Crazy! We spent time with Ryan’s parents before they had to leave and had lunch with them. Micah was super sad when they had to leave, but it wasn’t as bad this time because he knows he’ll see them soon.

Micah’s 4th birthday party for turning 6 was today! This morning we went to a little café with Aunt Susan and Uncle Mike for breakfast before the day got crazy. It was a great little diner and we had a fun time with them. After that Kari, Jimmy, Papa, and MiMi got there and we went to the store to pick out Micah’s new bike for his birthday. He got to get a bigger bike that is more his size. He’s already doing a great job riding it! His party was this afternoon and we had the BEST time! He chose my favorite meal for his birthday meal, rotini! And he had a cake with raspberry filling, which he was too excited to actually eat. Then Katiera and Jeremy had Star Wars games for the kids. They made a piñata and sent the kids through Jeti training. They made light sabers out of pool noodles that were so cool! Noah dressed up as a star trooper (I think that’s what they are called) and they had a big battle. The pool noodles were awesome! Micah got tons of gifts, mostly legos, so he’s super excited about those too! He’s a blessed little boy for sure! I’m glad that he got to have a birthday party in the States with his extended family! We wish Ryan could be here though!

First thing this morning we packed up and headed to Ohio, but even before that Micah had to get a few rounds of Mario Cart in with Uncle Mike! The drive went really well. It was long, but Micah did a great job. He pretty much watched movies and played games on the computer the whole time. He did get a tick though at a rest stop which turned into a fiasco. We had to bribe him with ice cream to let us take it out! We finally got to my parents house though and Jeremy and Katiera and the kids came over and of course we had Belgrades chicken for dinner. We ate outside…which was freezing! But we had a lot of fun! Micah was super excited to see his cousins and Grammy and Papa and everyone else! I’m glad that he gets to be here!

Micah and I had a great day today! First thing this morning Micah ran and jumped into bed with Uncle Mike and Aunt Susan! He loves them! He got to go with Uncle Mike to a park where he got to catch a fish and hold a snake! They had a great time! And me and Aunt Susan went shopping and we had a great time too! Tonight we had a little birthday party for Micah. We had corn on the cob, which is a favorite of his!!! And cake and ice cream, and of course presents! He has already put together his legos and is trying to kick the soccer ball inside! And he got new shoes which are a little too big, but he doesn’t want to take them off! He loves them! Also, Uncle Mike taught him how to play Mario Cart on the Wii and he never wants to stop now! We had a great day with them!

This is the day we have been waiting for for a long time!!!! After a whirlwind of activities the last few weeks with Easter and Micah’s birthday (which were all awesome!) it’s finally time to head to the United States to have the baby! Our travels went great today! We started out the day early driving to the airport. It was sad for us to leave Ryan. Micah had a hard time, and I had to cover my tears and be brave for him. We listened to and sang “Your love never fails, it never gives up, it never runs out on me” on the way to the airport and the song was stuck in my head all day. Our flight to Nassau was short and good, and the layover, although long, was good. Micah was super good and played so well with the other kids in the play area pretty much the whole time. He shared his toys and even told several kids they could keep his toys. He has such a sweet heart! Our flight to charlotte was on the Pittsburg Steelers plane, and it was a little bumpy, but we made it the United States!!!!!!!!!! So the baby will officially be born in the US at least! When we saw Uncle Mike and Aunt Susan Micah ran to them and jumped in Uncle Mike’s arms! He was super excited to see them! I was too! We had a three hour drive back to Raleigh, which was nice to be on the ground! And Micah is remembering their house and is already sad that we only get to stay a few days.
The Lord is good. We are so thankful that He has given us so much grace and has brought us here safely. We miss Ryan already but are looking forward to his coming in June.
