Recently the Lord has shown me how very blessed we are to have a team of godly co-laborers pulling together with a common vision for the school. By vision I don’t mean the day to day planning or even the longterm development for the school; I mean something greater. We share a vision of see Jesus Christ glorified in the lives of our students.
For many years we have known the road of either lacking community in ministry or seeing it slowly develop. Then somehow just sneaking up on us, I looked around and God has put together an amazing team. The school staff has had its share of those who need to either get on board or find another job, but when I look around today it is difficult to find any of these individuals.
Every morning we begin our day as a staff praying together and working together to plan out any remaining unknowing details. Where these meetings could be filled with division and personal vendettas or power struggles, they are not. Rather, we can sense how to lift each other up, and even in the midst of difficult decisions and circumstances we all desire to see the school continue as unified.
Although things aren’t perfect, and from moment to moment we will need to work through small offenses, it is amazing to see how our prayers are answered and we have a WHS team that is united. And our staff is very diverse with some deep complexity. We have some missionaries, and some paid staff, among the missionaries we have 3 different mission agencies represented, we have some national Bahamians and we have some Americans, and we have other nationalities represented. Yet even in this complexity we are united by our love for Jesus Christ and our desire to see God known in the lives of our students.
I wanted this post to be an attestation to God’s goodness in delivering what is needed for His work. I want to share with you, our supporters, this praise that God has been good in developing a team to accomplish His desires on Eleuthera. Even when we have illness or complications in schedules, all the staff will pull together to make things work.
Again, we’re not perfect, but I have observed that we have the major pillars standing to keep this house undivided. I want to invite you to pray with us that God will continue to grow these relationships, and keep melding us beyond coworkers and into friends – to His glory and praise. Amen.
