Easter – by Emily

We got to spend Easter in Eleuthera this year, and had a great day celebrating our Lord rising from the dead! My favorite part was returning to our home church in Palmetto Point. Since we have been gone to the States for a few months this was the only Sunday we got to spend with them, and it was a great reunion! We got to do Praise Team again, and during one of the song breaks Ryan told everyone to give their neighbor hugs. It took forever to get people back into their seats because the hugging just wouldn’t end!!! It was awesome!!! It was such a beautiful sight!!! We just love our church and dearly miss it when we’re not there!

We dyed Easter Eggs with Micah’s friends who had a sleepover Easter Weekend. I love dying eggs with Micah! This year Sadie got to join in the fun too! She pretty much just dropped the eggs in the cups, but it was fun!

We had our annual Windermere Easter Egg Hunt this year, and there were more kids than ever! The Windermere Family keeps growing and growing! The kids had a great time, and the parents had a great time fellowshipping too! We had a section for the babies and the rest of the campus was for the big kids. The big kids went wild as soon as we said “go!” We cleverly took a picture of all the kids inside before the hunt, but then the outside picture was pretty much a disaster. At that point the kids could see the eggs and only had one thing on their minds! It was a great time!

Easter is super special to us! It’s awesome to have the privilege to celebrate openly with our friends and family the resurrection of our Lord! My favorite Easter Song is “He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me, along life’s narrow way….!” What a JOY to be able to look forward seeing Him with our own eyes someday!
