Emily’s Perspective

We are just so very blessed to get to return to Eleuthera each year! God has given us so very many friendships with amazing people! Each time we return, it seems as if we have never left! We are met everywhere we go with hugs and kisses! I even make special trips to stores just because I know that every time we go into stores we will see people we know!

We stayed in Spanish Wells and Ryan was serving at the Methodist Church there, and everywhere we went we got to catch up with friends! A favorite time of ours in Sunday afternoons after church at lunch with Woody, Marie, and the whole gang! They are so generous to host us for lunches on Sundays!

We got to go to main land Eleuthera a few days too and catch up with friends. Ryan preached at our home church in Palmetto Point Wednesday night, and it was such a blessing to see the sweet people there that will forever remain our church family. We also got to visit Windermere and witness the great things the Lord is doing there. We got to chat for a while with our dear friends, the Schraggs Every time I talk to them I leave encouraged that even in hard times, God is faithful!

We got to spend an afternoon visiting our James Cistern friends too, and the day was made complete by Billy’s for lunch and a walk on my favorite beach where I have had so many conversations with God about my life. It’s fun to think back on all the times I poured my heart out to God on that very beach, not knowing how the future would turn out, and now I can look back and see how God answered every one of those prayers in His time and His way, better than I could have ever imagined!

We had a fun “Taco Thursday/Taco Thanksgiving” with our friends, the Rankines, too! My favorite part was watching Micah with his closest friends. He misses them dearly, and he was so excited to be with his friends again!

We got in some good family time snorkeling and playing on the beach, and me and Micah went for morning walks on the beach too. We found treasures on the beach, and treasures in the moments we got to be together. It was a great trip! God is continuously faithful, merciful, and gracious to us! I’m thankful every time He allows us to return to our island!
