Ms Gibson

This fall we all said goodbye to one of my dear friends Ms. Rosetta Gibson: May 2nd 1937 – September 22, 2021. I felt terrible that I was unable to attend her memorial service this past Fall. I had planed to use the money from selling the car we drove on Eleuthera, but unfortunately it didn’t sell for enough.

I’ll never forget the day and the look that Rosie gave me when we asked if Windermere needed missionaries. For 5 years after that day, I spent each and ever morning of the school year praying with her for God’s guidance, wisdom, and patience. Those were such formative moments as you can really hear the heart of a person best when you pray with them.

As we drove to visit her grave I thought of all the many memories and meaningful impacts Ms. Gibson made in my life in the lives of so many students at WHS. Her legacy will live on, and she will indeed be missed.
