9.08.08 – Hurricane Hannah

Although Hannan was occasionally a hurricane and then back to a tropical storm, we received hurricane force winds in the gusts that came through Eleuthera.

This was our first experience with this powerful kind of weather, and needless to say we were a bit anxious about what to expect. We prayed and prayed that the storm would not hit us directly, so as it began to weaken, we rejoiced.

Then as the storm made landfall, it strengthened and we had some gusts which were hurricane force. Thankfully, all our precautions were successful and we weathered the storm safely. Additionally, our entire settlement suffered little to no damage, it was really an answer to prayer.

For our first tropical storm, Hannah was a doosey, but nothing like what the southern Bahamas and Haiti have been experiencing, keep them in your prayers.
