2.06.09 – Houston Mission Team

Today we said “Goodbye” to a wonderful team. We had 6 men from Houston come to the Center this past week with 1 goal in mind: they wanted to WORK!

The facilities here at the Center have just a little work left to do, but sometimes “little” can turn into a LOT! These guys were all excited about working and many of them were skilled in pluming, electricity, framing, finish-work, tiling, a/c, painting… the list could go on and on.

During their week here they accomplished a ton. They did so much that our missionary in charge of construction said that the building is about 1/2 a day away from being live-able.

This team was simply a wonderful team.

It’s been said that when you’re dealing with mission-teams you either “cry when they get off the plane” (meaning, that the team can be burdensome), or you “cry when they leave” (meaning, you wish they could stay). This team was one that we hated to see leave, and we’re thinking about calling them until they come back!
