Micah and Preschool – by Emily

For those of you who don’t know, Micah is going to Preschool this year at Agape House in Governor’s Harbor. He goes two days a week and he loves it! Lately they have been very busy having field trips and other special events!

Fire Truck Day was so fun! A fireman came from Governors with the truck and the kids loved it! He talked all about what firemen do and the kids got to try on his fireman clothes and hat and see all the truck equipment. He even sprayed the hose and the kids got wet! I think their favorite part was when he blasted the siren! The kids all jumped around and danced!

On Library day all the kids went to the Governor’s Harbor Library and they read book and sang songs and learned all about the library and how to act in a library (which for two and three year olds is sometimes a foreign concept). They had so much fun! The librarians were full of energy and did great entertaining the kids, and the day ended with punch and cookie on the porch!

Sports Day was next. They went to the baseball field in Governors and ran lots of races and relays. Micah did great! He ran his fastest! Most of the time though he just wanted to play in the dirt and build “sandcastles”. Each kid got a gold medal, which they were very proud of. Someday when Micah wins the Olympics we’ll show the picture of when he won his first gold medal!

Today was Commonwealth Day in the Bahamas, and they had an assembly at the Primary School in Governors that Agape participated in. Their class did a presentation on Jamaica and they did a great job! It was Micah’s first school performance and he did a great job! I am so very proud of him!
