While we’ve had Karolyn down to the island before, Emily’s dad Don hasn’t had the opportunity to visit yet. So, this trip was extra special. The Pfeister grandparents somehow found a way to come and help us and visit for 2 weeks.
I must say its amazing how much you can pack into a short 2 week visit. We must have traveled up and down the island half-a-dozen times. From Rock Sound to Harbor Island to Spanish Wells, we went just about everywhere.
When we have friends and family visit for the first time we like to give them the whole island experience… then when they come back again, its more “been there done that,” so that there can be more time for relaxing and beach sitting.
However, that’s not to say that we didn’t get our chances to sit on the shore and eat out at some of the nicest restaurants that Eleuthera has to offer.
One of the best things about your parents visiting is that you’ve got free built in baby-sitting! So, not only was it a joy to have Don and Karolyn with us visiting, but they were an extremely big help in the day to day responsibilities around the house.
We are blessed to have some of the best parents anyone could ask for, and we’re so thankful they took the opportunity to visit us.
